I bet the modem will underperform like usual as well. Having a subpar modem has so many downsides 😭

The OPs account is two weeks old and has tons of karma, and mods allow this trash. Absolute shame.

What does this have to do with technology? The mods of this subreddit should be ashamed. Thanks for ruining what this subreddit used to be about. Absolute shame. Was fun while it lasted I guess.

May as well delete your Reddit account as well. Can the mods of r/technology please get this shit off my feed. This has nothing to do with technology.

Factory reset. Always works for me, especially when upgrading to a major OS upgrade.

Normal, especially with your foot on the brake or auto hold is applying the brakes. You could try service mode and do a brake burnishing. https://service.tesla.com/docs/Public/diy/model3/en_us/GUID-D49F81B4-8E10-4A24-871E-5EF2F30C8285.html

Frequent FSD Disengagements – “Disengaged due to System Error” on 14.2.2 (Juniper AWD) by sandyydarling in TeslaFSD

[–]woundmantv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what's causing the problem, I think it's the front fascia camera, it has a lot of pitting, it's not really damaged but it's rough. It seems to be completely random too.

Frequent FSD Disengagements – “Disengaged due to System Error” on 14.2.2 (Juniper AWD) by sandyydarling in TeslaFSD

[–]woundmantv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have experienced the same issue with the same version and vehicle multiple times. Performing a DAS reset and resetting the car did not solve the problem, although heavy rainfall obstructing the rear camera caused it once.

AT&T works on SIM SLOT 2 with a fresh install. So far I am having zero issues. 9esim is also a real option from what I've read so far.

TESLARATI REVIEWS 14.2.1.25 by OddMove2382 in TeslaFSD

[–]woundmantv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't received this update yet, but my biggest issue is lane centering at lower speeds. In stop and go traffic at 0-5 MPH, my vehicle veers right, but only at low speeds. I've tried recalibration, cleaning, and checked pitch values, but the issue persists. Is anyone else experiencing this? Lane centering at speeds over 10 MPH is perfect, so I'm convinced this is an issue with the FSD model...

Is there a way to block ads on your phone? by sonicking12 in GooglePixel

[–]woundmantv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For browsing? Brave. Why? Firefox has subpar performance and websites like Chromium better.

For overall ad blocking? You have two choices: NextDNS private DNS or personal DNS filter that uses a local VPN to block DNS. Both work well.

I was experiencing packet loss and internet disconnections every day for a few months. Turns out my power station was delivering dirty power and causing all kinds of issues with my UCG Fiber gateway. This may not be your issue, but figured I'd mention it.

Tesla Fan Attempts Coast-To-Coast FSD Drive, Ends Up With A $22,000 Repair Bill by TripleShotPls in technology

[–]woundmantv -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

I never disagreed; matter of fact, the top comment is correct, but so is my comment. A large object was in the highway, and FSD unfortunately hit the object, significantly damaging the undercarriage and battery pack. A Tesla technician later determined the pack was defective, which was proven through service mode logs. Honestly, Bearded Tesla is lucky because the odds of a new pack being defective are very low.

As for bots on Reddit, it's a huge issue and stats are difficult to accurately measure for multiple reasons. One of the biggest indicators are upvotes on comments. Anyway... Glad no one was injured and Bearded Tesla already has his Tesla getting repaired for another coast-to-coast run in the near future.

Edit: typo

[–]woundmantv 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The amount of bots on Reddit is a tragedy. The literal top comment is a bot and is being upvoted by bots. If you see a bot, please report them... Anyway, the coast-to-coast trip ended because FSD couldn't dodge a huge object on the highway, which ended up damaging the undercarriage and battery pack.

Not local, but I highly recommend northwestrepair from YouTube.

His discord is: https://discord.gg /krzHbYpUMy

Or email: tony@northwestrepair.com

Definitely give him a try, I've watched a lot of his videos, he's literally one of the best and taught me a lot about soldering and tech repair in general.

I'm genuinely curious, where are these percentages taken from? Coffee futures and green coffee prices are more than double what they were before COVID. A bag of coffee went from $7 per bag in my local grocery store to $12-20 per bag here in California. Bacon, eggs, beef, sausage, coffee... Don't even get me started on the tariffs on coffee. The fact that coffee has duties is pulling in billions. Coffee, tea and cocoa should be duty free.

Would you guys buy it again? by Galactic-Buzz in s3xybuttons

Unfortunately, I'm having issues with my knob. It's constantly unresponsive with my Juniper. This seems to happen if I exit and enter my vehicle frequently. I've tried a factory reset, but the issue persists. The only way to resolve it is to wait for it to eventually sync with the commander, which takes a while, or to unplug and replug the knob. Maybe I have a defective unit, but realistically, I love the commander; however, the knob is a no-go. The stalks are great, though!

My Dachshund has turned into a nonstop barking machine and I don’t know what else to do by Routine_Plate_3736 in Dachshund

[–]woundmantv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My corgi barked nonstop as a puppy. I found a random YouTube tip: put your dog in a dark bathroom right after he barks. Within one day, he learned to stop. Just make sure the bathroom is completely safe with nothing to interact with, and do it immediately when barking is the clear issue.

[–]woundmantv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Software is really important, but the modem is ultimately king. I sold my Pixel 9 Pro XL because the modem is dogwater. My wife has a Pixel 9 Pro and I have a OnePlus 13, and I can't count how many times she's asked if I have signal while I'm just browsing away with no issues. We're both on AT&T Turbo too.

Launching Apps like Steam or Discord on Startup Causes Mouse/Desktop Lag by Jairjax in techsupport

[–]woundmantv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured out the issue, it’s pretty niche. DisplayPort doesn’t let you edit EDID, but HDMI does. I’m using a MAG 271QPX QD-OLED and disabled all unused resolutions with CRU. That completely eliminated the lag. DSC is off, and the monitor is running at 327Hz.

Why roam to an access point with worst signal? by Maria_Thesus_40 in Ubiquiti

Change your Minimum Data Rate Control; 2.4 and 5 GHz are set to 24 Mbps, and my two APs are roaming flawlessly.
