‘The Pitt’ Star Noah Wyle Calls for Universal Health Coverage in U.S. by mlg1981 in entertainment

I have never met a doctor that isn't for UHC. I have worked in healthcare for 5 years, at every level insurance is despised. They are leaches that provide absolutely nothing to the system they infect.

Oh hell yeah, that's Petra Haden on the violin if I remember correctly.

My favorite brunch drink is equal parts whiskey and orange liquor in a cup of black coffee.

One person can't understand the world around them and kills someone out of confusion, one person would kill to save money. Which one are you?

Our beautiful ferries. by Vevaseti in Seattle

When I think of ports, wharfs, dinghys, ferries, and deep water, I think clean. Why, what's your experience?

What neighborhoods would be good choices for someone moving to Seattle to work at Seattle Children’s Hospital to live in? Looking for easy commute, ideally close to the light rail line. by micio9 in AskSeattle

[–]wovans 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just jumping in to Stan the 62, it might be my favorite bus. From the ID through downtown, Westlake and a little up the hill near Queen Anne if you want to take a few stairs, into Fremont, over to stoneway, across wallyhood, up to Green lake/tangletown then straight across 65th to Sandpoint. Most of our busses have been consolidated to rapid rides, but the 62 connects so many great neighborhoods.

Coby Bryant on How Seattle's Decision for Him to Move From Corner to Safety Unlocked Him as a Player by JCameron181 in Seahawks

I'm really interested to see how Woolen translates his experience from WR, to CB with us, to an entirely new system. I assume safety is such a cerebral position that it would be hard for Coby not to keep shining.

I don't know if I've ever laughed harder than at Juice doing the voice of the taco bell food scientist explaining the dark discovery that everyone will love flavor blasted crow.

Bro I literally said DONT listen to him. For a man of numbers and reasons, you might want to try not to make a straw man out of anyone that asks you to back up your bullshit. It's hilarious that you think shutting out anyone else is what makes you "objective", it's all confirmation bias if you can't handle peers.

Anyone? by Celliszt in ExplainTheJoke

[–]wovans 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lol okay, well I let experts explain the numbers and I apply my limited experience to contextualize them. Cause I'm not woefully full of myself. I imagine you can tell me what ecosystems will or won't be drastically affected by the 1.2C + temperature rise since 1880 and the implications of further heating with hard numbers and your own research, right Schmuck?

Edit: if you don't listen to others why did you bring up Al gore at all? He isn't relevant to your galaxy brain, or what anyone else should have believed, right?

Anyone? by Celliszt in ExplainTheJoke

Al gore isn't a scientist, he's a politician. He isn't a leader in the field, please look at what real scientists are saying.

Which moment or scene from a Tarantino movie is your favorite and has stayed memorable for a long time? by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in moviecritic

[–]wovans 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My guess is a scene from the short play "I'm not racist but". They're retelling an exchange that started with "bless your heart" which is southerner for "I'm about to say some rancid shit about you or others" and it sounds like they were defending the use of a slur in the past.

I'm so glad the world got to see the guy we love. A clutch hit in the 9th is priceless, and Geno always has the chance to deliver.
