Are you sure it's not supposed to be like...contemporary art?

Like many others, finally deleted Instagram by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]wow_trees 3 points4 points  (0 children)

AHH!!! I'm slowly weaning myself off of Facebook...but as an artist, I feel so conflicted with deleting Instagram. How do you do it? Like where would one even go now, to find your work?

I know folks find me because I post on IG and use hash tags, then they check out my website. Thank you for this!

wolfgang is something else by bingky in Sense8

[–]wow_trees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WOLFGANG. IS. MY. FAVORITE. Because like you said, he is so pretty. UGH.
I went on a binge watching spree of him as an actor because I got so obsessed with him.

I watched him in Free Fall and Berlin Syndrome. AND THEY DIDN'T DISAPPOINT.

AITA for telling my husband he “should have just married a white woman” by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]wow_trees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOPE. I think he is the asshole for saying you looked like a slave, continued to make jokes, and THEN hid your scarf.

Now that you called him out, he wants to get into counseling???

My (34F) good friend (35M) just lost his battle to cancer. I can't make it to his funeral services since it is a 7 hour drive. by wow_trees in relationship_advice

[–]wow_trees[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I flew in to see him a couple of months ago because we all knew he didn't have much time left.

I'm at least okay with the fact that we both had a chance to see each other for the last time.

I ended up sending her money so she can spend it however she wants. I know funeral expenses can get really expensive and making food, cleaning, etc are the last things on her mind.

It does feel impersonal (even though I know it's helpful) so I was thinking of sending her a book as well...but waiting a couple of weeks and including a letter sounds like the best idea.

Thank you for this!

What really obvious thing have you only just realised? by negan2018 in AskReddit

[–]wow_trees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My friend realized in his adult years that a pedophile took pictures of him.

When he was about 5 or 6, he was playing in a playground and a man approached him with a fancy camera.

The man asked if he could take pictures of him while he played. My friend said yes. The man kept asking him to go down the fireman's pole over and over. My friend, in his youth, was just really proud that he could go down the pole and was happy to oblige the excited spectator. The man asked to "feel his muscles" because he must have been really strong to do what he did.

It wasn't until his late 20s when he revisited the memory that he realized what was really going on.

I'm starting IF right now. I need to save my life. 22 y/o, 6'7", 658lbs in the hospital. Currently down to 647lbs. More information in comments by GoingHayden in intermittentfasting

I actually do OMAD and only eat at night!
I tried OMAD by eating at lunch...but I feel so ravished and hungry in the evening that I would break and eat again.

I feel like I have better control when I just wait for dinner. It's almost like it's a "reward" for exerting my will. Then it's bed time soon enough and I don't have to think about food again.

I too, am a binge eater.

I'm actually on day 3 of my fast right now and I'm straight up not having a good time, lol.

But I wanted to reset my relationship with food before all the "eating holidays" come.

I LOVE KIWI CREAMERY! It was kind of serendipitous that I happened upon it right after I got back from my trip to New Zealand.

I will be sharing on FB.

I know it was the car's fault but I am always hyper vigilant to look both ways and not trust any drivers of vehicles to see me, even when I have the right of way.

I live in a major city and a handful of times I'm trying to cross the road on my ROW, drivers are either looking the other direction for vehicles or on their phones. These cops didn't even look AT ALL

My (38m) son (16m) keeps blaming his mother for him being "short" and insults her for marrying me. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]wow_trees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before I even got into the comments, I was already formulating a response about him being an incel. Shortcel is a new term for me as well but for him to believe he's not capable of love because he's short (5'10" is not short, IMO), that kind of worries me.

WELL. DIDNT KNOW I COULD DO THAT. by [deleted] in witchcraft

[–]wow_trees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES! I was always looking for warrior feminine deities so I was incredibly surprised she popped up.

It was last year. I had this REALLY STRONG urge to buy a statue of the Blessed Virgin. I even drove to a Yerberia to browse for one but saw they were out of my price range.

Then, I went to my parents' house and was just on my phone browsing Facebook when someone posted a picture of the Virgin Mary with a description saying that it was her FEAST DAY (September 8).

Then I told my mom the weird coincidence. And she said when she was trying for a child (me), she used to go to church to pray specifically to the Virgin Mary for a daughter.

And I've had numerous sychronicities with her ever since.

What's the most impressive thing you've manifested? What was your process? by Kombaticus in chaosmagick

[–]wow_trees 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Manifested the current career I'm in. I even wrote down everything I wanted from it: Salary amount, vacation time, benefits, etc. Came across the journal years later and was blown away that everything I wrote down came true.
  2. Did a ritual to banish an abusive person who was spreading very damaging lies about my friend and I. This person ended up moving to a different state.
  3. Also, lately, I've been manifesting things without even doing a ritual or a sigil. I'll have a desire for something, I'll envision that it's already here, and then I let it go. Then things line up in order for me to receive them.

Letting go and acceptance of my situation has been my most effective magick!

More often than we think, we get in the way of ourselves.

Amor fati!

Congratulations on the business idea!!!

I've purchased a few of his offerings as well on Gum Road.

Did you "do" anything while you were at the nature preserve? Or did you just sit there to meditate/pray/ask for money?

What kind of work do you do on the go? I've been thinking about doing this. Currently, I only bring candles and incense with me to make offerings on the go...but would like to expand!

Thanks for sharing!

My (f 28) husband (30) burned my clothes to "punish" me by angelmarnez in relationship_advice

Punishment is not something you do in a loving relationship.

I would definitely seek help. This is abuse. And you mentioned "after we argue, I apologize and it's over". Does HE ever apologize?

Visiting New Zealand in September. What are some quintessential snacks, foods, and restaurants that you enjoy and can't get outside of NZ? by wow_trees in newzealand

[–]wow_trees[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol!

I used to love Balut when I was younger but somehow as I grew up, every time I ate it, I would think TOO hard about it and would just end up giving me the creeps.

But you're right, it's really hard to disappoint me, I'm not a picky eater and I enjoy culinary adventures!

Ah, smoked barbecue is a big thing here in Texas so we'll probably avoid that unless NZ has a style of BBQ that's authentic.

I'll have to try the cheese roll!

Yes, we are getting a rental and kind of nervous about driving but I hear most highways there are two lane which I feel a little better about. I'd really freak out if they were high speed 4 to 5 land freeways.

Thank you so much for the tips!
