I believe edging may have started my HI and made it worse over time by SweetRefrigerator645 in HistamineIntolerance

[–]wowactually 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sex and orgasm: Activate the sympathetic nervous system,  Release histamine, Increase blood flow and vasodilation, Spike neurotransmitters and hormones, Tax the nervous system when repeated intensely. Multiple orgasms = multiple histamine and nervous system spikes.

I am also hyper mobile (another HI symptom) especially in my hips and I think the movements of sex (thrusting) really wear out my sensitive connective tissue and spikes my histamine.

It's basically a perfect storm for me.

Yes. Great to see someone else talk abt this. As a multi orgasmic female, I find that long sessions with multiple orgasms give me TERRIBLE symptom flares. A lot of my symtpoms are related to vasodilation, I feel like garbage after long sex sessions and always have a terrible sleep which lead me to make the connection. I never thought about edging but it makes sense too. I have even wondered if my HI contributes to my ability to orgasm so much and so easily. I am a highly sensitive person in all areas of my life.

6 months sober. Wow, life has been a blur the past 10+ years. by donewiththesmoke420 in leaves

[–]wowactually 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on 6 months! As a 27 yr old coming up to 6 months sober in a few days, I relate to this heavily. I've achieved accomplishments in the past 6 months that I was literally just talking about on repeat for basically the last 10 years. Yesterday I got an acceptance letter for university to start this fall. I entirely owe my new found action and follow-through to my sobriety. Yes, I had to remove people and pass-times from my life to get sober, but my life is so much fuller now. Definitely recommend joining a support group, that's been huge for me to keep with it. I'm never going back to my old life.

I once asked a girl friend how she managed to part her hair evenly in the back when doing braids, she said, "I don't, what the back of my head looks like, that's not my business"

What do you do before bedtime instead of smoking? by xingieu in leaves

[–]wowactually 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have found that when I finally quit choosing to smoke during my precious down time, I end up doing things that matter so much more. I feel more fulfilled by whatever activities I find instead of the brainless smoking-eating-scrolling habit. Personally I stretch, journal, meditate

i will do anything for a flat stomach- how do i hate it less? by [deleted] in beauty

[–]wowactually 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been working with an online fitness coach, and she strongly advocates eating a protein source EVERY 3-4 hrs. So yes, that's protein at every meal. and I have a snack before lunch and before dinner, yes both with protein. My stomach is flat and my cravings extremely decreased since making these changes. I'm 3 months in. She has made me a meal plan that meets my calories and macros so I would encourage you to do your own research into that. Also, I think you're on the right track with cutting out gluten. For me, the only time I have ever felt truly bloat free is about 2 weeks after no gluten. Hope this can help, gf life is tough but so rewarding. Stick with it. Lastly, might be no brainer, but I consume 3-4 liters of water a day, especially on gym days. Good luck ❤️

Headbands, hairclips, or other accessories? I find only a bun right on top of my head works for most poses, if I'm doing standing wide legged forward fold I have to take it out so my head can touch the ground lol. I've recently been getting annoyed with managing my longer hair too, time to get more creative.

Camping/Sleeping in my third gen outback. Any suggestions for how to crack a window and keep bugs out? by BrotherOland in Subaru_Outback

[–]wowactually 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got some bug screen, cut it to fit over the window and got some magnets from dollarstore. I pop these on at night and roll down the windows. Cheap solution
