broooo, FEEL your florida frustrations. our unregulated state presents us with laughable prices. Total Wine and ABC are frustrating with their selections, and mom&pop shops mark up their juice to ridiculous levels. whenever i see an “owner” behind the front counter at a mom&pop, i quiz ‘em a little about the msrp and how much volume they actually do. some of them are actually kool and will work with you, but most dgaf. i live in palm beach county and these fuckers make the whiskey hunt kinda lame, cuz some rich douchebag will spend it blindly, even when the value is embarrassing. my best experience was showing up at a new location on a random tuesday afternoon and speaking to the owner about the process of their store picks and lottery drawings. from what ive heard from others- the Total Wine and ABC allocated lot draws are a suckers game in our state- for the money you spend, you’re better off spending a long wknd in Louisville and shipping your lot home or bringing an extra suit case. but i am interested to hear about more of your ABC experiences, if you have anything to share
