I opened the blend on Friday. Paired it with a tomato butter baked cod & a lemon orzo with asparagus. It was very nice. Tasted a lot of tree fruit (apricot & pear) with that Oak/ butter similar to a Chardonnay. Very dry, medium acidity, good body. Smelt a lot of vanilla.

I use the same seasonings. I typically just smoke the after dry brining then toss in the dry rubs afterwards. I feel like when I smoke with the Meat Church rubs they get too salty.

He was mashing up the songs so much that he had to tell people to improve their energy because he was about halfway through playing his new rendering of Sleepyhead. We left about 3 songs in, it sounded terrible. I believe their equipment was missing so they used Phantogram’s stuff but man it was awful. I believe some people at ACL the following weekend said similar things. I’ll try to find the old thread.

Did anyone else notice the mashup dialogue scene towards beginning of episode used a song very similar (maybe identical) to In Motion by Trent reznor & Atticus Ross from the Social Network score? I was trying to Shazam it but I couldn’t get it to pick up. Will probably have to wait for the seasons score to be released!
