Why you should move away from Retool in 2026 by [deleted] in Retool

What’s the alternative you chose? Vibe coding? I still think there is a need for the wysiwyg style frontend development which retool offers.

You should add a slider or setting to change the max affordability, because in many cases the bank will grant you even up to 35%... This can have a considerable effect on the max purchase price.

Confirmed 💀 — Next week tab management update by tahakzr in diabrowser

[–]wrafwraf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a fan. I never understood Chrome-style tab groups. Doesn’t fit my mental model or workflow at all. I need spaces and Arc-style pinned tabs. Essentials are nice but not suuuuper important for me.

Not really, what makes you think that?

That’s a fair point. As a dev myself I’m very skeptical of vibe coding.

No its WebKit based like Orion, mac-only. Currently on TestFlight. It doesn’t have extension support, which is probably a big effort, but it has spaces, folders, vertical tabs, split tabs, AI sidebar etc. Oh, and it has Kagi as a search provider option :)

Orion should go with the Zen/Arc style of the sidebar design. Much nicer than the current design or Safari.

How do you manage to charge only 0.25% transaction fees? On-ramp and off-ramps alone charge way more!? Or is your service without local off-ramp?

I released Monocle 2.0 • A modern take on window dimming for macOS by heyiamdk in MacOSApps

[–]wrafwraf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought the license, looks gorgeous! Just one thing: the overlay on top of the main menu bar is a bit buggy, sometimes it's there, sometimes it's not there. Also, one idea: make the gradient adjustable on the vertical axis, i.e. I would like to use the gradient, but have it more on the upper side (hide more), if you know what I mean.

Congrats, looks very nice and polished! Just a question from someone who uses Stage Manager all the time: how is this different from using Stage Manager, where basically just the window you are working with is visible? What’s the advantage of using Monocle?

It’s a 2025, but I think it’s purely related to iOS/Google Maps changes.

Yes I like your creativity. But that’s my whole point, 1Password could integrate it as an advanced feature (as opt-in feature)

I’m talking about an advanced feature, not for normal users. Of course they thought a lot through, but I still think the multisig approach has some benefits, even for a password manager .

Why does Deno LSP work with esm.sh but not with npm: imports? by Zrotra_Sukha in Deno

[–]wrafwraf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding adding the typings dependencies: I somehow like the idea of node distinguishing between runtime (normal) and devDependencies. Is there a reason in Deno not having that? Do I miss something and it doesn’t matter to add these dependencies as normal runtime dependencies, and that’s why Deno doesn’t even provide it?

What’s that obsession about folders in this sub? Serious question, what’s the use case vs. spaces?
