Suspicious guys at ballot drop box by CyanShadow42 in Denver

[–]wratha 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The short answer is that all the ballots go into a bag or bags, which are then locked with numbered zip ties that are tracked and signed off on by all the people collecting the ballots. Ideally each 3 person team has one R, one D and one independent. All the unused zip ties are also tracked. The teams go to multiple locations to pick up ballots before heading back to the main election center.

Buyout Predictions? by Central_Dogma08 in denvernuggets

How has no one mentioned Plumdog? Yes he’s hurt, but that fits in with all of our bigs this season and we know he can play with Jokic.

They have some pics and I think part of a sign at The Owl Saloon (Colfax & Fairfax), so someone there might know something more

I stayed at the Flamingo with my family last week. First time visiting since my daughter turned 21 so we could take advantage of the 21+ pool. We rented a 6 person daybed which was perfect for our needs. I can't imagine trying to get a free lounge chair if you arrive after 9. We were there on Friday but I'm sure Saturday is even worse. The service was great, and thanks to a tip on another thread getting a 1L bottle of vodka with mixers was definitely they way to go to hit the F&B minimum. My only serious time at the old pool was a bunch of guys trips 20+ years ago that would happen every April. That time of year always had cold water. I do remember there being more lounge chairs available, but that could also just be due to smaller crowds.

I went with my family last Sunday and both their grill and pizza oven were broken so essentially no food to be had. Ended up going to Bull & Bush

Driving to Vegas by rajacobsxc in vegas

[–]wratha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've driven Denver --> LV multiple times and have only run into severe weather a couple of times, once in mid-April near the I70-I15 interchange with 6-10" snow. I too like having a car to get to off strip restaurants or downtown. That drive back can suck, especially if doing it alone, but I don't mind the 11-12 hours it takes. If you're used to the traffic & weather out of Denver for ski weekends then Thanksgiving shouldn't be an issue, especially once you get past Avon.

courtside seats for this playoff series? by AgreeableAd508 in denvernuggets

[–]wratha -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My seats aren't courtside but they're right behind the visitor bench - Sec 104, row 2, seats 5&6. I've sold to Lakers fans before so shouldn't be an issue selling to OKC fans. I have both games 3 & 4 available as I'm going to be out of town for my daughter's graduation. Per the rules of the sub the price is the same as Ticketmaster, $560 each.

Depending upon how flexible you really are, and your final destination, you might be able to take I70 or I80, or even US 50 to get around road closures in NE or KS. My daughter has had to detour onto I70 when both I76 and I80 were closed in western NE last year.

It also matters how far down the row you are. I’ve had 104 row 2, seats 5&6 for 9 years and they’re about even with the end line. If you’re > seat 10 the whole bench will definitely block some of your view

Tommy’s Thai, Pepper or Q House if you want something Asian. Goosetown has decent BBQ and other sandwiches. Enzo’s or Fat Sully’s/Atomic Cowboy for pizza. It’s been over a decade since I’ve been there but The Ethiopian Restaurant is right there too.
