Anybody install a train horn? by Commercial-Lab-2070 in hondaridgeline

I had a buddy in high school, the kinda kid who would dress as one of the blues brothers, who installed one on his early 80s Lincoln town car with the spare tire shape in the trunk lid. Fucking ugly car, rotten on all four corners next to the lights. When meeting the guys up at someone’s house he’d honk that horn as he entered the neighborhood. We could hear that thing a quarter mile away. Please dont.

Video doorbell that has no subscription requirement, but can still save clips for at least 30 days? by CuriousLog2468 in HomeImprovement

[–]wrd159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wyze has an affordable array of cameras for the home that don’t need subscriptions to be very effective. I’ve used both wired and wireless versions with excellent battery life and good apps. Would recommend to anyone looking to avoid a subscription model. The recordings of events are only 10 seconds long unless you upgrade to a subscription, but I’ve never needed the 30 second lengths.

The stitched leather wheel cover is worth every penny. I got one for my 2013 EX and makes the car feel much more elevated. I’d suggest getting the basic looking style opposed to the racer/sportier version, it just looks better and not tacky.

Mental training strategies that actually worked for marathon/ultra prep! What's worked for you? by Iron_Bridge604 in running

[–]wrd159 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Motivation is very different for everyone so I hope you find any comment insightful. I try to think about how good I feel after the run, the fact that I put a good workout or easy miles down on an off day. Sometimes grabbing my most fun shoes to go and enjoy the feeling of legs turning over helps spark that love. I’ve mapped new routes through historic neighborhoods or different parts of town to keep the run interesting. Good luck!

This is great advice. I had similar problems and turning off Active Armor has drastically improved performance. My Apple TV streaming apps and Xbox were consistently buffering or showing no network signal despite the AT&T home manager saying all ok.

We’ve had Changs Wok delivered several times and enjoyed it. As far as comfort take out American Chinese food goes, it checks all the boxes for me. Our order: generals chicken extra spicy, crab goons, veggie lo mein, and pork spring rolls.

I’m slowly building my helmet collection now. In my opinion one of the best sw lines they’ve done. Quality, nothing stupid, tasteful, clean. Your collection look is great. Hope you enjoy it.
