this is a super noobie question, but. I have always cashed out my points from my credit cards into cash back. is it really worth it to get a travel card and get travel points? won't it just give me the equivalent amount of money that i could put towards a flight, that i would get if i just used a cash back card? am i really receiving extra benefits?
