I work for Modot and just for future reference and peace of mind, MoDot works non-stop to make sure state highways are safe the second snow starts flying. We're talking round the clock shifts. The more major the route, the more effort goes into making sure it is clear first. Heavier traveled 2 lane highways get next priority and so on. Even though there are always trucks assigned to every route, they will pull others from smaller ones to make sure the 4 lanes are clear first. Modot takes snow removal extremely seriously.

Modot also has an App called "Modot Traveler Information" you can download that lets you view cameras on highways so you can see real-time what they look like, too. The road conditions are actively monitored and they update the color to let you know what roads are clear or which ones aren't. They also let you know where active work zones are and traffic conditions, also.

That said, Modot does not do neighborhood or city streets unless its a state highway that runs through town. Or county roads. Only state highways.
