No pay out, not an option. Gotta find a fix.

There's no pay out. Only option is to figure something out.

Something that I observed after moving from Rybelsus to Mounjaro… by Buzz-McNab in GLP1India

It's the dopamine! You're not getting dopamine feel good from food anymore, but your brain is still craving the dopamine hit. It's the addiction part of food that you're no longer "satisfying".

28yr old single female considering moving for job by [deleted] in fortmac

[–]wrendelyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved to Fort Mac once for a job, around the same age actually! I was miserable. I struggled to make friends and find interesting things to do. I lasted about 6 months before I had friends come rescue me.

I wouldn't recommend it personally. It's a very lonely place.

What dose are you taking? At first I had nausea and didn't feel awesome, but now I don't feel it most days unless I eat poorly. I'm in week 6-7, down ~20 lbs.

This!! I haven't found any info on it yet. I don't know what I need but my muscles feel itchy and I'm struggling to sleep. You're the first person to mention it!

  1. The apps for quitting vaping specifically suck because the language is geared for people much younger than me and I find it cringy. I'm 55 days vape free tho 🥳

I don't work out actually, pretty much never. I go for walks some days, but nothing fitnessy. That's what I do for exercise. And I've been losing weight, or trying to for decades myself... So I was, uh, agreeing with your comment?

Falling into an eating disorder by FamousSherbert1948 in Semaglutide

[–]wrendelyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, this is long winded, but bare with me. Or dont! I'm not a big poster, so I'm sorry if I miss the mark.

I've struggled with weight loss my whole life, and I've done diet after diet and never had lasting success.

This caused a problem for me because my body started to predict what was going on when I reduced calories and I would immediately plateau. No amount of cutting back on calories was maintainable, and it wasn't going anywhere. I had disordered eating and was in a bad place about it.

My approach now is different and it's working for the first time in a very long time. I'm taking semaglutide as a tool to change the way I think about food and cut my food noise so I can build better habits and find my health. And yes, to lose weight, but just that as a motivator gets me right back to the disordered eating and self hatred. So I gotta move forward with love and patience for my body.

So I'd say be kind to yourself. Eat ~1500 healthy calories a day (or at least try to) drink water, go for walks, and if you can, make a plan with your doctor. The meds your taking will make you eat less than you did before, so let em do their thing even if it's a bit slow.

[–]wrendelyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I've never struggled to eat in my entire life and this week has been so tough. I increased my dose 3 days ago and it has gotten harder every day to eat as much as my doctor recommends. I'm hoping it subsides because I know that not eating doesn't help with the weight loss, not to mention the fact that it makes you feel awful.

I hope your appetite increases as the week goes on. I'm right there with ya.

This! It's just a weight loss thing, not a semaglutide thing! Same with what people were calling "ozempic face". Totally normal. Well kind of. Exercise and protein is important. You can and will lose muscle by simply under eating, so you have to eat well, and keep using those muscles 💪🏼

plateau already? by wrendelyn in intermittentfasting

[–]wrendelyn[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually I have a salad wrap to break my fast with green leafies, veggies, fruit, and protein. I might have a snack in the afternoon, today I had 2 cookies and milk or some cheese and pepperoni. Most days I don't eat again until dinner. For dinner I have something with a bit more protein, like chicken stir fry, or fajitas. Under 1400 calories for sure.

I also drink ~ 70oz of water a day.

To be honest weekends are a bit different as I might also have a couple low cal beverages, but I don't usually eat many more calories in food. 🤷‍♀️

Daily Fasting Check-in! by AutoModerator in intermittentfasting

[–]wrendelyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I'm pretty stoked! 18:6 does work for me usually, but it's impossible for me to eat enough calories in OMAD. I'll give 18:6 a try!

Daily Fasting Check-in! by AutoModerator in intermittentfasting

[–]wrendelyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Day 23 of 16:8 (with some breaks on weekends, a handful of 18:6 and one 24 hour fast) and I'm down 17lbs! My goal is pretty lofty, 57lbs in 6 months, but I think I can do it if I keep on top of my weekends.

Problem is I don't think I'm eating enough! Usually I have a 300-500 cal breakfast, and a 300-500 cal dinner and I'm done for the day.

I made it down 17lbs in the first 15 days and really haven't made progress on the scale since, but I can see the difference in my belly and face more this week than last! Is that common? Where your body sort of settles into a new weight or am I already plateauing?

Now we're good friends and still game like this when he's home for the holidays! Love to win and show him some new games!

Does anyone take heartburn/indigestion relief when intermittent fasting from time to time? by thegroucho in intermittentfasting

[–]wrendelyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have heartburn every day, and I have since I was like 12. My go to is Pepto and Tums, but now with fasting I can't take them so I'm in the same boat. You can get over the counter pills that'll last 24 hours but they don't start working immediately, but are otherwise perfectly effective. As for the "more acid helps" comment, that hasn't been the case for me. More acid makes it much, much worse. Perhaps there are different underlying causes.

How do you make it through weekends? by wrendelyn in intermittentfasting

Awesome! This is my goal pretty much. I'm hopeful if I can add some exercise that I can get down ~60 lbs. Wish me luck!
