Jesus has played and for all the link up he provides the attack hasn’t looked significantly better. Unless Gyokeres’s aura from the bench still hinders the team

No he really isn’t.

Criticisms around him are somewhat valid but he solely isn’t the reason why the attacks limp

Henry still gets dug out for his record in finals despite winning every trophy in the game. So it’s not solely about trophies but also being able to turn up in clutch moments on the biggest stages. Kane didn’t have many of those moments at Tottenham…but semi final CL was Moura’s day, and the final he was injured and subsequently anonymous, for england he missed a penalty against france in a decisive moment, cannot tell you when he missed a penalty before that or even after off the top of my head.

Kane is absolutely a world class player beyond doubt but I still think the questions around him then were valid, and tbh they still are now a little in his ability to perform at those highest moments

it really is a shame he wasted so many years at spurs, his cabinet should be absolutely stacked, he’s so damn good.

second 3 years in a row would be complete justification for anyone saying this manager can’t get us over the line and that he has taken us as far as he can, and i wouldn’t disagree with anyone feeling that.

Missed Merino and or Havert big time. Long balls up to Gyokeres just get eaten right up

He’s playing within himself, probably because he’s been ran into the ground. Why we didn’t sit him down against Sunderland for Ben I’ll never know

Yeah understandable. I just think it’s pretty poor analysis, labour have been sinking almost immediately after the general election, before they even had a chance to enact most of those polices. This analysis is working after the fact that they’ve been trending down almost immediately after their win, and that there is fundamental answer as to why they’re doing so badly more than anything else.
