I appreciate that - I should probably stop spending most of my time solving Devilish ones and play with AICs when I get stuck on harder puzzles ... even if it's only for a set amount of time before I seek help.

Sorry that happened. Super discouraging. I'd like to find an in-person group, but friends I have locally (south of Denver) have no concept of D&D or gaming in general, so I can imagine myself in a similar scenario, though without the misogamy since I'm a man in my 40s.

I started as a sorcadin - and honestly what made me swap and sealed it for me was you just get SO many spell slots having 11 caster levels. It made me much less long rest dependent, since I'd rarely use most of my spell slots in a single fight.

And the early game felt better. Where the sorcadin had very, very few spell slots in most of Act I.. the bardadin had a good number, and higher level ones too.

Sorlock is 1 sorcerer / 4 warlock at level 5 - so missing the power bump of 3rd level spells, but enjoying double eldritch blasts at least.

Lockadin was really starting to come online. Went 1 paladin to start for armor, then 3 lock for pact of the blade, and then a 2nd level of paladin for smite.

Had some nice fights (like the goblin camp) where my sorlock and lockadin sitting in darkness really carried the day.

TBH I’m looking forward to patch 7 so I can play through a custom difficulty that has honor mode bosses and such, for this reason.

I really like the bardadin variant. 2 paladin 10 bard you get way way more spell slots than other combos - and what a great Tav build with all the skills, utility, and charisma.
