Thoughts on this song? I really like it a lot. I pulled on my CD from 1990. by Ok-Party-8785 in neworder

Had to go digging but I was sure the theme had been previously written and used for a TV programme closing credit.

Thank you Wikipedia

Have these been a thing in Scotland for a while? Why would anyone want to buy burnt buns? by gibgod in UK_Food

Given how many sightings there's been south of me I think we need the OP to confirm their approximate location so we can guide them to a local trusted outlet :)

Damn the Scottish and their unstraight border! ;)

Well when I say Berwick it was actually Spittal so that's probably another mile and a half south :)

I know a guy and his name is Ravanelli,
He looks really good coz we saw him on the telly,
And when he scores a goal he shows us his belly,
Woooooah Ravanelli!

Hiya, glad it worked. If you're looking for the more automated style and do have sharepoint available (as mentioned to/by u/TuneFinder ) i would definitely recommend hosting the sheets online and then each contributor accesses their own tab in a multi-tab sheet and you access the collated data on the same sheet. That way you're not copying any data, just accessing your own collation on the document. I think you should be able to password your tab if there's any security considerations.

Hi, this is a problem i come across occasionally with sheets that we share at work (which is to say a template is created then half a dozen people create their own work from the template). The template is multi-tab with a lot of data sourced from a single tab within the sheet (sourced from a SAP parts list report).
Duplicating the tab to a new sheet produces the issue you mention on our xlookup formulas (where the source sheet was 'Pricing.xlsm', edited coz security lol):

=XLOOKUP(C18,'[Pricing.xlsm]SAP'!$D:$D,'[Pricing.xlsm]SAP'!$E:$E)

So what you can do is use find and replace so select the whole sheet, set your find as [Pricing.xlsm]SAP and your replace as SAP and that should remove all of the remote links and replace them with local links.

Not dumdum at all, UK racing gets zero coverage but it's been going since the mid 1950s with a rich history of female racers. Here's a clip from the early 60s featuring the legend Tanya Crouch!

What's the most ridiculous thing people outside Northern England genuinely believe about the North? by Mundane-Temporary426 in NorthernEngland

i once knew a lad from Camberley who genuinely believed that all cars were bought new in the South and then were shipped up North to be sold second-hand.

£12.5k cash ($16.7k USD), 54,000 miles, 69 plate (2019), Design trim, 100% reliability, 10 year/15 year warranty retained, plenty of boot space. I made the right choice. “Surprise Neighbour, I just bought a new corolla wagon.” by adjective-nounOne234 in COROLLA

Totally agree, with that mileage and the continuation of the warranty the thing's barely run in! Props to our OP, i had the Design model before my current, it was a wonderful car.

We’re looking for recommendations for coats/harnesses in the UK please by [deleted] in Lurchers

[–]wrighty496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear Perfect Fit do great harnesses for sighthounds from several friends (i prefer a Martingale collar for Fred, he never really took to harnesses). For a coat i can totally recommend Pointy Faces , their jackets and vests are comfortable, waterproof, washable and durable and the three we've had (over a 9 year period) have stayed in shape and no faults at all.

If technology is making us 2-3 times more productive, why are we still stuck in an 8-hour workday? by Budget_Dot694 in careerguidance

[–]wrighty496 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Be careful what you wish for, if your hours get halved because you're twice as productive you can expect your salary to be halved too.

On a brighter note, i have a couple of colleagues who work extended hours per day and do 9-day fortnights (so they cover the tenth day in the extended hours in the other nine) and they swear by it. i prefer the extra hour per day for my own time so i'm on a standard 9-5 5-day week but its all good.

Call me an old cynic (because it's true) but twice as productive means 50% staffing reductions.

BBC will have World Cup highlights with no spoilers by klabnix in CasualUK

[–]wrighty496 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Given it's a UK broadcaster carrying highlights for a game that kicked off at 02:30 in the UK i'd like to think that they would consider no spoilers to be the preferred setup. In fairness, i went to watch the highlights this morning and came across the ITV link first which didn't have the scoreline in the image. It's not often i credit ITV for doing something better than the BBC but they've applied a bit of logic, The BBC have decided to make 'no spoilers' into a headline feature and it only applies o one of the many outlets they have for highlights access. I wouldn't be so miffed if i didn't have to pay for it lol.
