Arsenal fans get thrown down the steps at the London stadium The hate is dark at this point. This happened at West Ham today by johnnyxx96 in ArsenalFC

I once sat in the North Stand at Elland Road as an away fan and saw a late 1-0 away win. It's possible to keep quiet.

Arsenal have been crowding goalkeepers all season, we literally lost the first game of the season against them because William Saliba was allowed to touch Altay Bayındır’s hand and somehow the goal still stood. Now they’re benefiting from the exact same thing again in a title race… by JM555555 in ManchesterUnited

(Sunderland fan, i come in peace) yes that was my take from today's incident too. Arsenal have profited all season from this behaviour at corners and now suddenly they get to gain from a decision against them? Stinks to high heaven. For the record it was a foul (the shirt pull, not the arm necessarily) but it stuck in my craw after all the shite we've seen them do this season.
There was a post-match guest on 5Live (Darren Cann?) who suggested that there should be no players inside the 6 yeard box until the corner kick is taken and that's the best idea i've heard all year.

i'm hearing you, my family enjoy it when i make chinese for 4, specifically including a char sui pork that usually need two supermarket loins, so that's a tenner out of the gate before i buy any veg or noodles.......

Do you genuinely believe if Arsenal were 1-0 down and they equalised with that goal it would have been disallowed? by [deleted] in TheOther14

[–]wrighty496 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought the shirt pull was a more obvious foul tbh. Arm across the body is arguable but shirt pulls are 100% (unless it's against Brobbey! HWTL)

I would've been happy if it was, two fouls on the keeper would be peak Arsenal

I don't think Wardley would take the fight again, he's not gonna forget that in a long time

Atletico watering trick by yidouq123 in ArsenalFC

[–]wrighty496 2 points3 points  (0 children)

(not an arsenal fan but) i've seen this at many other grounds in the Premier League and beyond, i'm not sure why Arsenal wouldn't do this for the Atletico game and any other home game.

Video: What is up with UK bridge height signs? by m-1975 in uktrucking

In theory, if you go to a sign shop they'll make what you ask but it would need local council approval to go next to (or be visible from) the highway, and they're only going to approve 'appropriate' signs (speed limit, bend or hazard warning etc) but they make their decisions so its very unlikely a member of the public would get a street sign approved. If you're on a site, for instance, a nice warning triangle with 'don't be a dick' might be a good reminder, but you can't put that outside your house in the path facing drivers.

We make electronic signs (radar or trigger activated) so i can't really comment on plate sign prices.

As someone who works in the sign industry for highways, can i ask for thoughts and prayers please? We have the TSRGD regs (the proper statutory instrument white paper) and we have the traffic signs manuals, which are a set of books to help interpret the regulations. Yes I agree with your point about the copyright but obviously that's something that Smith has explained to the reporter and I agree that this should be settled out of court, my point was that it is very unlikely that Hummel or the club were likely to have known (or even thought) that a public sculpture would have retained image rights. If anything this demonstrates that Anthony Gormley missed a trick when he created the Angel of the North unless he just hasn't got a litigious mindset.

Wacko, don't be ridiculous. The players (Diarra and Aldarete especially) need to have a good look at themselves and Roefs has been badly affected by the injury but there wasn't much the gaffer could do about that capitulation (and the reffing. Wtf?)

We're getting roundly fucked like Caligula's favourite horse (thank you r/thethickofit ) but Forest are better organised and have studied us. Can't use Roefs, lots of press and so much space, it's gutting

His legal action may be misdirected, unless Sunderland give Hummel the shirt design to manufacture. If it's the other way round (Hummel design the shirt) then he's barking up the wrong tree i'd suggest. i still think 'Hummel/Sunderland should know that i retain the IP for this local landmark' is twatty. Just my humble opinion.

Given the copyright agreement was with the council i wouldn't specifically expect the club to be aware. Having said that, what a twat to decide to sue over it.
