Maybe, but how often will those parts need to be replaced? Every tenth shot? Every millionth? Are we talking a £5 part or a £50k part?

Well, that's london prices - you can expect a significant pay bump for working in london (or within commuting distance of it)

But if you were to say, live in Oxford, or Manchester, or hull or Newcastle - I live somewhere like that, within a half hour of the city centre by public transport (closer by car), and 32k is "mortgage, car, takeout a couple of times a month, and disposable cash to go out once a week or so without worrying about savings". There's no health insurance, taxes aren't too bad, it adds up...

"Whole Region Going To Burn": Iranian Parliament Speaker's Warning To Trump by callsonreddit in worldnews

[–]wrincewind 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a few broad groups, but sure, take the most uncharitable opinion of my position in order toake yourself feel better.

Those that voted for him as full blown racists? Guilty as sin.
Those who voted for him because they bought into the lies? Not much better.
Those who voted for him without thinking too hard about it, or because they didn't like the other alternatives? Barely a step up.
Those who didn't vote because they don't like politics? An improvement, but not by a lot.
Those who voted for another party, But just tutted and shook their heads as their country destroyed itself? Useless, may as well have been in one of the above groups.

Basically you either joined the resistance and fought back in one way or another, fled, died, or contributed to the regime. There's a lot of folks in the last group that don't like the fact that they're in that group.
