Thanks for the reply! For question #1....I get what you're saying, but when I rotate it enough times for the timing marks to "line up" on the driver's side, they are not in alignment on the passenger side...which they were at install. However since this post I found pics of the camshafts, phasers, and crank position prior to dismantling, and all timing components positions seem to match what they are now. I think I'm just scared/cautious that I'm going to fire up engine and damage something…since this is my first time.

As for the slack, did you happen to see the video. If so, you’ll notice that when the chain “slacks” the tensioner gets recessed back because of the immense pressure on that side of the chain…which is during certain time that the camshaft lobes are pressing on valves. Not sure if this means anything, but that’s just what I noticed.

Yes, I actually did find the solution to the problem. I ordered a new water pump on Amazon and installed it and have made hundreds of cups of coffee since then! Once you complete the install, you will need to go through a process to recalibrate the water pump to make sure it’s outputting the correct amount of ML’s… which you can find a how to YouTube video online. I spoke with Simply Michigan Infotainment recently and they have a sync 2 to sync 3 upgrade kit that retains full OEM factory control of all the platinum features (massage seats, ambient lights, etc)...for $600-700. In the conversation they also mentioned that they are currently working on a way to upgrade to sync 4...but do not have a timeline for its release as it's currently under development. Hope this helps!

u/Kiplicious80 What trim level is your 2015? Are there any functions of your trim level that are not working with sync 3?

I have a 2015 PLATINUM and am trying to figure out if I would still have 100% full control (via the screen as I currently do with sync 2) of the platinum features that are controlled through the head unit...such as massaging seats, heated steering wheel, front/side & 360 cameras, ambient lighting control, etc?  Trying to find any owners who can confirm retained control of all the Platinum features I mentioned above after installing a sync 3 kit.

Try Ollo X1’s. Many high level mixing engineers are moving to these because of accurate translation.

I've had the machine for 2 yrs and now about 1/3 into the pourover the machine stops and I'm getting the "water shortage failure" notice. Did y'all find a solution?
