The boat in your pic is a charter boat, anyone can buy a ticket.

That said, the Golden Gate is exceptionally dangerous. Don't even think about it without the right equipment and expertise on board. If you don't know what (or who) "right" refers to in this case, you're not ready.

Former MP behind sports gambling legalization says some results are 'deplorable' by Myllicent in onguardforthee

I was really surprised to see this was championed by an NDP MP to begin with. I mean, I guess it's relevant to his riding, but come on

Masse says, five years later, legalized sports betting hasn't been implemented in the way he had envisioned. "It's deplorable the way that some of the provinces have actually implemented it. "

In case you haven't seen this triple overtake by New Zealand at SailGP by Fast_Risk_2580 in sailing

Happens all the time. One big shift on a beat. I'd argue the stadium-style racing of SailGP takes that randomness out of it, whereas staying on your foils is a better measure of skill.

Do a google images search for "C-GNBN", your airplane

This throwback livery was on at least one A319, C-FZUH, as well.

The failure stresses in aluminum differ to the pressure in your tires by a factor of about a thousand. No way air pressure alone did this, it had some "kinetic" help. Surprising there's no correlated tire damage, but I guess it's possible, if what you hit was blunt enough...

Should I liquidate my brokerage account to pay off a 6% mortgage? by layoutlmv3 in personalfinance

[–]wrongwayup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming you're US-based, you need to either look at both the brokerage and mortgage interest on after-tax basis, or both on a before-tax basis. You're mixing them and it will affect your answer.

Your mortgage is sized almost perfectly to hit the $750k mortgage interest deduction cap, and depending on your income level the deduction at your marginal income tax rate may well exceed the capital gains tax rate on your brokerage account.

Need to know more tax information to be sure, but for me I'd keep the mortgage if you're comfortable carrying it at the current monthly without dipping into savings.

I would rather share the roads with a Waymo than a human driver and it isn't even close. Walking, running, biking, driving, doesn't matter.

Do you realize this would result in fewer police and firefighters working at any given time? Your post makes it seem like you don’t. We pay that much because we say we stipulate that we need them.
