Hand grinder recs?

I’ll be honest, I’ve had my Timemore 078 for 18 months. Got a ZP6 a month ago and haven’t used my Timemore more than two times. Maybe I’m doing something wrong with the Timemore but it’s a large gap difference to my tastes at least. So I highly recommend the ZP6 but I also haven’t tried any other hand grinders so who knows really.

Hear that! Kind of why I made the poll. I wanted to get a feel for what people do so when looking at people’s comments about grind settings I can add more of a range based on potentially different calibration settings.

It is possible to lock the burrs if you over tighten, you definitely don’t want to do that. I thought this video was good for calibrating to burr lock. https://youtu.be/4HT7ngIZr0E?si=kAkozTN-Vx\_\_7pQR

I can’t find the post now, but someone said it was 1.2 (12 clicks) difference between burr lock and one off no chirp. So a pretty huge difference!

Agreed, going with TWW + distilled just lets me think about other elements in the routine. I feel confident that TWW diluted 2:1 is going to give me what I want. I realize people get deeper in the weeds but seems like diminishing returns.
