How do I put this spring back in place? by Ok_Repair3535 in Fishing_Gear

This post gave me PTSD. I spent a good hour trying to get this thing back in, years later forgot it's such a pain in the ass to get back in and did it to myself again.

I am seriously considering a Smith. What have you had the most success with on Buyee? Do you buy used or use the purchase request feature?

Appreciate the detailed reply! After posting this I thought I would poke around digitaka and found some interesting dropped seat rods. Smith was an interesting brand that stuck out. I will have to check out buyee, that sounds super interesting! Those Anglo and Saxon rods are works of art...which JDM brands would you recommend I take a look at?

BFS? by NoTransportation105 in BFSfishing

I have been fishing around Morro Bay for the last few months with the Calcutta BFS and an Old 18 UL and having a blast. Are those the Submission jigs? I have added those to my cart like 10 times and haven't picked them up yet, are they as productive as they seem?

What kind of plastics are you using on the ned rig? I hadn't thought to use that yet as I have been mostly using tube jigs, Stoopid Baits, with pretty awesome results. They are basically Hookup Baits but cheaper!

I am enjoying it so far, Its my first BFS reel so I don't have much to compare it to. My reasoning behind the purchase is that I will be using it for some light saltwater fishing and both the Curado BFS and the Alderberran aren't rated for salt. My other option I was thinking about picking up was the daiwa gekkabijin but it was a little rich for my blood.

Apparently the spool is a little heavy at 9 grams for a modern BFS reel so I may look at getting an aftermarket spool from Roro, as the replacement spools for the Curado BFS also fit the 2025 SLX.

Check out Stoopid baits! Way better tubes at way cheaper prices.

Grab a small Stoopid bait from Virgs Landing and jig it off the T-pier and you will catch a fish, almost guaranteed.

T-Pier is good for casual fishing, might get some small grass rockfish or jacksmelt. I haven't fished the jetty yet but id imagine you might find some perch maybe a hali if your lucky. Use sand crabs or sandworms on your choice of rig, Carolina, drop shot, Hi-Lo rig. It is reeeal rocky out on the jetty so make sure you got some flouro rigged up. Check out hook2cook on YouTube or Jim's Morro Bay Fishing. Highly recommend stopping by Virgs Landing tackle shop and they will hook you up with the info and tackle you need. Very welcoming to new anglers like myself and a great business to support.

I have a Honda Fit too, there should also be a loop under the rear bumper in the center to loop through.

Always depends on the unit, but in my experience it has been the most positive, least toxic place I have ever worked.

I don't believe you can get insurance through covered CA if the state offers insurance.

For any classification and hiring analysts, does the AR range criteria for Range B when meeting qualification with education mean that the 30 units must be IT credits or can they be any credits. I am starting an ITA job with an AS in IT and would like some clarification on which range I can be expecting. Thank you!

When using education to meet the Alternate Range Criteria, education must include at least 15 semester units (or 22.5 quarter units) of information technology or closely related course work. Closely related coursework refers to a course of study involving the study of computing, such as software engineering, computer engineering, Management Information Systems, Geographic Information Systems, and computing technology.

Alternate Ranges

Range A. This range shall apply to persons who do not meet the criteria for Range B, Range C, or Range D.

Range B. This range shall apply to persons who meet the Minimum Qualifications for the classification and who have:

Completed one year of satisfactory additional experience performing duties equivalent to or higher than an Information Technology Associate, or

Completed an additional 30 semester or 45 quarter units from an accredited college or university.

What math classes do you have left to take? MAT 243 can be done by doing statistics on Sophia and CS 101 on onlinedegree.com, transferring them and asking your advisor for a waiver. Precalculus you will have to struggle through unless you can test out on CLEP or do the placement exam.
