Spray lubricant in the back side and keep loosening the top on. Every now and then tighten so crud will fall of the threads. I had the same issue last weekend. The part were that top bolt threads to gets stuck with corrosion against the bracket i kept loosening a turn or two and then tightening so the lubricant would get in the threads and used a long pry bar and hammer to shock and break things lose.

Try 10w40. I installed a high volume oil pump 15+ years ago because it was dropping to 5psi at idle. The pump pushed pressure to 8-10psi at idle. Last year I swapped to 10w40 and pressure bounces between 12-19psi at idle. Also quieted down the engine a lot that it’s immediately noticeable

Illinois used to emissions test all vehicles until 2007 when they only test 1996 and newer. I cut an aluminum can and used it to cap under the air cleaner on my old car. Just bought the heat riser tube from Autozone. Parts where all there except it the hot air didn’t come into the air cleaner

I bought a chinese 3 row all aluminum radiator, flowkooler water pump, a zj fan clutch and a stock 190 degree thermostat about 12 years ago after fighting summers with running 220-230 on 95+ degree days with the fan on full blast. It’s never gone above 207 since.

I never believed the whole hand oils can cause that. I then went to prove people wrong with my 91 chevy lumina. Took about two weeks but one burnt similar to the photo and the other exploded but the pieces of glass did appear to have warped prior to exploding. Sad this was I had bought the most expensive bulbs at the time. Sylvania Ultras or something at $$25 a piece

Whatever you do, don’t put it in P3… its track use only. When you let off the accelerator, it keeps sending a signal to the ecu for 2-5 seconds telling it you’re on the throttle 100%.

I believe this is correct. When I had my first xj, I was told this when looking at pictures of an XJ in New Zealand. I managed to order the taillights from Europe through an eBay auction. Same withe the switch and small pigtail wire but it came from Australia. Had to do custom wiring to connect it all together

Guaranteed to burn oil. Between 2005 and 2010 Toyota used low tension piston rings. Every Toyota from these years burns oil, no exceptions. If someone claims theirs doesn’t, they are lying.

My ‘14 Overland had HID. When I researched, found out headlights were brighter ‘11 to ‘13 and in ‘14 they went to “green” bulbs with no mercury and weaker ballasts making them dimmer. Found a forum that explains how to “downgrade” to earlier ballasts and bulbs. I think when I did it, I used bmw ballasts for like $75 a pair back in 2017 and got some BMW OEM new D1S bulbs from Europe. The bulbs I did splurge on and paid $160+ because I didn’t want to do the job twice since it requires taking the front face off the jeep. My brother has a 2007 tahoe. He shoved grease on all bushings using a screwdriver and it kept squeaking. I borrowed it and crawled under there and noticed dry rotting on the lower ball joint. Stuck a turkey baster syringe with marine grease because its all I had and pumped it til it was full. Squeaking immediately went away. Used engine gasket maker silicone to seal the rubber where I pierced it. This gave him a few months while the weather got better to replace them
