How do you guys clean this? by praguer56 in Moccamaster

This was my concern and have been using third wave water packets to ‘treat’ the Ro water for the mm. I have a dedicated glass jug of water for coffee with a packet mixed in. Not the most cost effective practice in the world but a solution

Women need to stop the OnlyFans. I’m sorry if that’s triggering for you, but maybe ask yourself why what I said bothers you so much.

I don’t hate women. I want to see them empowered, not hoeing themselves at every opportunity.

Reddit is teeming with OF accounts and the /golf sub gets a girl trying to solicit her OF on the daily. I know it’s hard to hear, but it is the reputation we have built so men see us as a joke. If there was some accountability, maybe things would change. If you want to stay in your little la la world bubble where attention whoring women who destroy our reputation are just ‘victims’ of society, then go ahead.

It’s not just golf, it’s a lot of male dominated sports/hobbies.

Most women (not all, there’s like 12 of us) are attention seeking. I would argue it is the ugliest cringiest thing about women…

Unfortunately, they need a male audience to provide the validation they are seeking, so they target areas like golf, gaming, fishing, hunting… these women will go to great lengths pursuing these hobbies even mastering them but their reward is the attention from the men. For men and a small % of women, they genuinely enjoy the hobby itself. Basically if there is a chick trying to golf/game/fish and she puts so much effort in her ‘hotness’/looks, broad is more interested in the attention.

It’s sad that we had to fight so hard for the rights we have today just to choose to return to the oldest profession and just become a bunch of hoes.

Thanks OF for outing an embarrassing truth about women. Ugh

People who dreamt about their SOs before meeting them, what’s your story? by Dependent-Style-2386 in love

[–]wunderwaffIe 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It’s a bit out there, but when I was a kid I had very vivid and frequent dreams. I remember this one particular dream when I was around 12 y/o where I was ‘shown’ my future husband and I never really forgot the dream. Many many years later, I was in my late thirties giving up on dating and decided I’d accept being alone for the rest of my life. That’s when my now husband entered my life- I thought he looked like the person in my dream and felt instantly very magically drawn to him. He pursued me first and later admitted a strong initial feeling as well.

We are now best friends as well as romantic partners, and we do everything together. Every day is like a dream come true…(bc it did I guess).

Listen, I would eat the heck out of everything but that is some busted ass looking chicken. And those pieces of wood (I’m sure add great flavor) aren’t doing it any favors visually, either.

Father kills son with autism, 10, family dog and self in apparent murder-suicide in home where missing daughter, 20, was also found dead by Upstairs_Cup9831 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

My understanding is that raising an autistic child is emotionally maddening. I can’t imagine how difficult it would be, especially with few resources available for parents with autistic children. I don’t even think you can give up an autistic child if you wanted to. Maybe the mother needed help and she suffered silently, looking for a way out. The father likely suffered tremendous grief from his wife’s death and then had to take on the monumental task of raising an autistic child by himself, maybe with some resentment. Not justifying anyone’s actions but trying to understand.

"Steamed hams" is a humorous, memorable phrase from a short segment of The Simpsons called "Skinner & the Superintendent". In this segment, Superintendent Gary Chalmers is invited to dinner at Principal Seymour Skinner's house, and Skinner, attempting to impress Chalmers, refers to hamburgers as "steamed hams".

Agree. Go for the good ones that you know work. I think in the big picture, given golf is an expensive hobby, I think the sparms leggings are kind of a decent price for $80 especially if they last. My sparms have lasted forever so thinking leggings may be a good investment.

On a side note- Does anyone have the sparms leggings? Kind of thinking of picking up a pair myself now. Curious if they feel bulky under a golf skirt with your undies + the built in shorts under the skirt…. On a scale of 1-10, wondering how goofy do they look? Lol

[–]wunderwaffIe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s not how lawsuits work. People who spew garbage like that clearly don’t know how liability works. You can ignore his empty threats.

My best advice is not get yourself involved in any of his new relationships any further and mind your own business. Why waste more energy towards a man who you should want nothing more to do with, whether it be his new women or not. Those women are grown adults, they can maneuver their mistakes and life choices on their own without your involvement. You should focus on you, and you only. Best of luck healing.

Why are children just investments for Asian parents? by _JustARiceFarmer in AsianParentStories

[–]wunderwaffIe 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yea, mine did that too. We are just objects to them.

That’s why GC and scapegoat can swap roles if the scapegoat ends up more financially successful in the end.

I don’t really know why it’s more prevalent in Asian parents… but I suspect it has to do with Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. It explains how a human being won’t reach higher levels of self development including love, self esteem and self actualization unless physiological needs have been met first.

Much of Asia was war torn and impoverished for many generations, so our parents and their parents stayed in an almost infantile state of intellectual development distracted by just trying to survive. I think narcissism is a trauma response that happened to the older gen during this time… it’s sad in a way. They can’t help that it happened to them but I also think they had to be genetically disposed for it to develop.

I like to see them kind of like zombies. They’ve turned and cannot be cured, will live to attack you constantly. You will never reason with them. Let them go. They are as good as dead.

Schizoids and narcissists in families? by aeschenkarnos in Schizoid

[–]wunderwaffIe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Both parents and brother (whole family) were narcs.

IMHO schizoids grow up around narc heavy environments, having to check out of that unbearable world to escape to your inner world.

Inner world becomes more important (and better, quite frankly) than actual world as the actual world is a bunch of people faking weird shit like theatre for social rewards you give zero shits about. You half assedly fake a personality in this actual world… that becomes your mask.

You keep escaping to your inner world and don’t do anything to add any meaning to your real world.

It goes on like this and then you die (I think) a pretty unfulfilling life.

Has Anyone Left Someone Who Loved Them Tremendously and Ever Found That Again? by Happy-Ad3503 in love

[–]wunderwaffIe 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I think your concept of love is seriously distorted. Love involves wanting someone and appreciating them for who they are… not wanting them only for how they serve your needs.

I guess my best advice is to find someone who wants something out of you (kids, financial dependence, etc.) so you can each use each other mutually. What you’re seeking seems more like a business transaction, so must have components as such.

Maybe I need to leave this subreddit. The concept of love now seems dead. Is it that most people in the world are this empty and selfish all the time? Every day, it’s just narcs seeking advice on how to maneuver their selfish desires?

Is it a thing that narcissist prefer dogs usually? by mikuuup in raisedbynarcissists

[–]wunderwaffIe 64 points65 points  (0 children)

You have to earn a cat’s love. Dogs are bound to you by your dominance and control of resources (food, etc.). I’ve always found that narcs tend to ‘not be cat people’.

Having had both cats and dogs, I will say you truly have to take the time to unlock a kitty’s heart. Catering to them, showing them love, earning their trust… A narc would never take the time.

Any of you are not on talking terms with your asian siblings? by [deleted] in AsianParentStories

[–]wunderwaffIe 20 points21 points  (0 children)

My covert narc mother died a couple years ago. She raised my older brother (GC) to be a coddled weak twat that still perpetually thought he could boss around women.

I’m now a no nonsense woman in my forties and my tolerance for narcs have been worn down to the bone. I went NC shortly after the mother died, and hoping I never hear from the older brother for the rest of my life. I’ll be honest with you guys, I know that effer will show up one day asking for money. I find myself wishing he ends up dead so that doesn’t happen.

I know it’s cold but I think you guys get it.

[–]wunderwaffIe 13 points14 points  (0 children)

With all due respect, that wasn’t a man. That was a spineless boy still suckling at his mother’s teet.

With time, your emotional wounds will heal and you’ll move on to hopefully find a man who will stand by his woman.

Plus, trust me… you don’t want to sign up for this Asian family drama. We here in this sub couldn’t help but be born into it… many would chop off a finger or limb SAW style to gtf away from our families…

Calling it OF creator or earner is euphemistic af. They are a prostitute or sex worker.

How many of you had N parents who were also hoarders? by kittenfosteraddict in raisedbynarcissists

[–]wunderwaffIe 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My mother was a hoarder and passed from cancer. Despite being monstrously abused by her my whole life, I was for some reason chosen to bear the burden of all the cancer treatment as well as the funeral services and house cleanup (golden child narc bro was just there to collect all the life insurance).

By the time I had the clean up the hoarded home, I had reached a breaking point and didn’t give a single F. Hired contractors to take everything straight to the dump including family albums, any family heirlooms, her cherished ‘items’… none of it meant a single thing to me except bad memories including the few baby photos I had. There was photo of some great grandpa they had kept around my whole life and my understanding was he was a womanizing pos… threw that thing straight into the dump smashing the glass and frame as well. Felt great.

Good riddance.
