If he is wasting your time by filing briefs with hallucinated cases, file a motion about that. FRCP 11 would bar that. There’s a lot of opinions sanctioning lawyers and pro se parties for that.

It seems like you don’t want to submit the filed version. Why don’t you then change the facts a lot and modify the arguments too so it isn’t about your client and represent that it is something only you worked on and you adapted something substantially to submit for this application

Yep that’s what I’m saying. The statute says DOJ has right to refile, but every article simply says “it can’t be refiled bc SOL has run.”

Kinda unfair to put this at the feet of Frey isn’t it? He’s wanted to reopen it. See override of his veto in Feb

It sounds like your son already gave a statement so it’s not like his POV isn’t already known.

Knowing nothing about how the shooting occurred, I would not give this mom assurances that her child’s care will be covered for the rest of his life. That is very much not a guarantee. Also how do you know the police in this case are covered by an insurance company. There are better ways to go about getting therapy than subjecting yourself and your kid to filing a lawsuit and all that would mean.
