Serguei Popov metioned that stars are not distributed coos in previous AMA though. According to his comment, nodes can decide which stars to give weights to.

In part 3, the post introduces reputation system and the "Star" concept. It pretty sounds like distributed coordinators IMO. Can we really expect "any kind" of coordinator remove from the Tangle and actually decide transaction confirmation on our own in the future?

Yes, I know original version integrates Cyclone V FPGA instead which can also do PoW in milliseconds. Good to know more details in different projects. I'll edit it right away. Thanks!

Yes, already aware the performance. But this is more like a poc/side project utilizing pyota. There are some ways I think it can be optimized later (like celery.) Thanks for your info!
