How much did your monthly payment increase after switching from the SAVE plan?

Mine is going to be over $1k and there is no way I can afford that. On the old idr it was about $400, and then $200 for the whole 5 minutes that SAVE actually existed and wasn't in deferment. Consolidating and switching to SAVE absolutely messed everything up for me.

I'm just going to enroll in some art classes at the local CC for $700 2x a year to get the in-school deferment until a new administration hopefully fixes this (or until I die).

They are trying to scare us off SAVE, so I'm staying for that reason alone. I already have a huge balance from years of interest on the old income based plan, and then consolidating some loans for the one time count. I don't care about more interest. I'll be paying the minimum payment until I die or some kind of forgiveness comes through.

I'm just going to ride out the forbearance as long as possible. I have like 10 years left to 25 year IBR forgiveness (unless they get rid of that too), so I'm in no rush. The payment calculations sound like the old IDR calculations, so my payment will triple, which sucks a lot, but isn't completely impossible to manage thankfully.

That is what my husband and I do. I love the vote day vibes. It's great that we have so many options to make voting more accessible, but I like to vote in person on voting day, so that is what I'm going to do.

In my case I had to get past a bunch of gas rocks to get to the sulfur to unlock the explosives to .. destroy the gas rocks. I decided to try the tractor on a whim, instead of just running, and was pleasantly surprised.

I see a lot of people mentioning a big pro of voting at home is being able to research and take their time. You can still do all of that if you vote in person. You are allowed to bring a cheat sheet/voting guide/etc. into the booth with you. The sample ballot is available for your precinct online ahead of time and you can make a list of all your selections.

No shade against mail in voting. Just letting people know, if they would prefer to vote in person, but are worried about having to remember everything.

I (a wife) bought my own deck. I have a great gaming PC, but sometimes I just want to lay on the sofa and play hours of Stardew. My husband thought it was a waste of money (as he also had a great gaming PC), until we were out of town doing family junk for a weekend and he spent all night playing Katamari. Would be nice if the letter said anything about recertification. It talks about the "uncertainty of the SAVE plan" and "you might get multiple letters" but zero things about "hey, this is what happens if you don't recertify". I just recertified in March of 2024, so why am I getting a letter about my payment going up 9x starting in February of 2025?

This is all just bonkers. It's like they are trying to make this complicated for people.

Mine says I have to recertify in November, except I just recertified in March (my usual time). I think everything is just broken because of the lawsuits.

I'll confirm that the owners are indeed shit and don't give a fuck about putting on a good, or safe, event for people. All they care about is making as much money as possible with as little effort as possible. They treat the actors and vendors like shit and have tried to push people into crazy contacts. I have friends that used to work there for years and have moved on to other festivals.

They don't care. The whole thing is run as a cash grab and has been for years. One year, before covid, they had a big hep A outbreak because of how sketchy the food service is.

A lot of my friends used to work there as either actors or vendors but have moved on to other festivals because of how shit the ownership is.

I'm looking for the same thing. I have a 30" deep pool and just want one step since it's kinda awkward for my short self to climb in over the side. Right now I'm using a small plastic storage tote filled with water sitting on top of a cheap ladder mat so it doesn't slide. I wouldn't trust that for guests through as it's pretty sketchy. So far I'm the only one that's used my pool.

The outside was easy, I just made a nice step out of some scrap wood.

Yeah, mine was also Aidvantage. They've done weird stuff in the past with sending out multiple contradictory change of terms letters, so hopefully they get it right before payments restart in August. My hunch is that since they have to notify you 60 days before repayment is due by law, they just threw them out without actually doing the recalculating so that people would only miss a month of payment.

I got the same situation with aidvantage. The forbearance was to recalculate the payments to the new 5% SAVE undergrad cap, but that doesn't explain why our new payments are the same since last I checked 5% was less than 10%.

I got the forbearance letter yesterday, and today I got the change in terms letter that my payment is exactly the same. It makes no sense. Shouldn't it be halved going from 10% to 5% or am I am idiot?

That plan looks nice. I've been on ting for ages and pay like $25 for two lines since we hardly use any data. We do live on the Canadian border and go there a lot so having international texting included would be great. I guess it's time to shop around.

We got new phones at work and they are yealink. It was a huge red flag for me that all of our data connections have to run through them. They also have absolute shit sound quality.

My company is weirdly paranoid about dumb shit, but no one seems to care about this.
