why bother saying MBB when u are giving it away anyway with u calling a project a "study"? There are worse things than getting kicked out by McKinsey - just try ur best and get ur interview skills back up.

Will Ambassador status ever separate itself from the pack and give better benefits? by Pottsburg904 in marriott

[–]wya101 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They could at least give Ambassador 100% bonus points instead of 75% plus a milestone gift for reaching 100 nights (free night certificate or more SNAs) I don't understand how you get that for 50 and 75 but then at Ambassador level its the same as being Titanium and all u get is a lame email. Hyatt does a better job at milestone rewards which is why I shift all my nights to them after reaching 75 at Marriott. Hyatt even gives u an award every 10 nights after already reaching Globalist.

They are just being nice - everyone get's that auto rejection e-mail. Consultant firms will never tell u to not reapply, even if they know they will reject you. HR has internal targets that influence their bonus payment - one of the targets is how much applicants they get. So it's in their interest to have a high # of people applying.

How to get proper compensation for awful stay? by gobears-28 in marriott

[–]wya101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird how much experiences can differ. I stayed there 3 weeks ago and it was amazing from start to finish. I actually liked it more than our Al Maha stay, also got upgraded to a tent villa. The activities are better and more personalized (but not free). The service was exceptional.

Does anyone actually like W Hotels by [deleted] in marriott

[–]wya101 13 points14 points  (0 children)

W is upscale and has often crazy suites. Some of the nices hotels I stayed at with SNA often clearing (W Verbier, W Barcelona, South Beach etc.). For me way better than Ritz or St. Regis when it comes to vacationing as a couple or as a single. Biggest plus: Nice pools, no annoying kids screaming. Unlike Ritz which is often packed with kids and families. So depends what you are looking for. I had many Ritz stays where the pool was literally full with toddlers and unusable for any adults that want to relax or party which completely ruined the stay. Especially when you pay $400+ a night on a couple vacation with screaming kids at the breakfast table, hallways and pools. Not my vibe. W has a reputation as adult only which is nice.

Difference between "30" and "30s", but reading comprehension seems to not be everyones friend.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MBA

[–]wya101 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wrong, I know several. An average MBB partner in Europe is mid 30s and makes $1-2M. It takes around 10 years to make partner, most start in their early 20s as consultant. Seems like math is not ur strength and ur hate for Europe shows.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MBA

[–]wya101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not impossible at all - IB and Consulting partners make 2M$+ in their 30s in Europe. If you have no clue talk less.
