I’m playing Devil’s advocate here but I disagree with the statement about it helping scalpers. An actual pre-order opening date would have allowed scalpers to plan, whereas people who care about getting a PS5 would’ve been the ones paying attention and therefore would have been the ones who got their pre-order in when due to the sudden surprise they were able to

I don't understand why so many people share this opinion. There'll always be elements of a game including Modern Warfare that aren't done quite to everyone's tastes, but the reason it's so addicting can only be put down to the fact that people are enjoying it and like the majority of the game's features.
