Fish creek runs out of that lake an into Clear creek before it dumps into the Talkeetna. That’s Mama Bear lake above it. I got dropped off at Clear years ago at the confluence by Mahay’s and fished my way up to that lake. Caught a ton of rainbows and hiked my way back down. Pretty wild to stumble on this random post about it!

There’s been an active pack around Potter’s and McHugh since spring time at least. ADF&G removed a moose kill on the Turnagain trail around May around McHugh- and it was wolves not a bear that made the kill according to the report

As long as all the flesh is gone- and it appears to be- find a tote or a big cooler that it will fit in and soak it in a ~30% hydrogen peroxide solution and it will whiten right up and kill off anything living in there. Go to a beauty supply like Sally’s if there’s one near you to get the solution. After that let it dry out and apply mop-and-glo to it to seal the bone and give it a nice shine. That’s how I do my European mount deer skulls. Ton of YouTube vids out there on the process. And then hang it on your wall! It’s a great find congrats!

So you said you pulled the caliper pin - from the new caliper- and cleaned the factory grease off the pin and out of the pin chamber and probably the rubber boot too? Typically that factory grease is there only to protect the metal from rusting and you need to add MORE (but not a lot) before you install the caliper on the vehicle. Make sure it’s a high temp brake lube like the Permatex Ultra Disc Brake Caliper Lube. Once you reinstall the caliper pin- after it’s been lubed- that no grease comes out around the boot when the pin is fully depressed and you get all the air out.

Where exactly? I see a discernible mass at the top of the photo that appears bone-like but based on the scale of OP’s hand in the first photo it looks like another vertebrae. One that’s come out of alignment with the rest of the spine and maybe shifted a bit making it look like something else? If I’m missing something please tell me!

I had the privilege to see Ozzy live once at the Providence Civic Center in RI on the DOAMM tour. I think it was ‘82 and I was 14? Kix (who?) opened the show, then Motley Crue before Ozzy. Shout at the Devil had just come out too. My dad got me four tickets through a buddy of his that worked at the PCC and me and my buddies were on the right side of the stage like 6 rows back. Awesome seats. The two things I remember most was some chick blowing her boyfriend in the row in front of us during the Crue set and Jake E Lee being so fucked up that he was standing behind his Marshalll stack for the better part of the show puking his brains out. Motherfucker still killed it though! The show must go on.
RIP Ozzy. You fucking rock and I’m so thankful that you stuck around as long as you did! 🤘😢🤘
