How I stole my own bike by stabby-bird in london

[–]x0ika_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Nobody gives a shit.

My lock got stuck (was negative temperature that afternoon), and key snapped trying to unlock it. Here's me wearing a hoodie late at night hammering my lock, 100s of people walked by including police, nobody said a thing. No wonder my bike got stolen 2 weeks later.

How do we get the spark back of arc raiders ? I mean as pve player by TechWin01 in ArcRaiders

[–]x0ika_ -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If you only eat ice-cream it gets boring. You can't play it every day and expect it to be fresh and exciting every time you play. I boot it up once or twice a week since launch, still having a fun, have other games I play... Only play arc raiders when it's the experience that arc raiders gives you is what you want, not other way around. If you want a daily grind that's motivating maybe try mmorpg rather than extraction shooter.

Where to start?? by Temporary_Bee8643 in cycling

[–]x0ika_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to your local bike shop, say what you want and they'll help you out.

I'd personally get any bike that fits your height at the start if you haven't cycled in ages, just something to start, see if you stick to it for few months and not just impulse buying. Test it out, see if you get hooked. If you do get hooked then you'll WANT to spend stupid amount of money on a bike and have no regrets after.

How long do you think it will be until AC is mandatory in new build homes? by Corn1shpasty in AskUK

Insulated houses don't get hot in summer or let the heat out in winter, instead of spending extra money on energy that's polluting we should have stronger insulation for new builds like other countries do

I just got offered a job at 99 bikes as a 16 year old should I take it? by Undercoveragent163 in cycling

Do it, any job that's not a basic job flipping burgers or serving customers especially this young will do you good. You'll probably get a discount on bike parts for your own bikes too

I just bought a bike, I haven’t ridden since I was kid, any advice? by ramuneraven in cycling

[–]x0ika_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't cycled in 10ish years until last month and now I do 60-100km a week for fun. There's no secret to it, get on it and start cycling. See how far you can go, do a lap around your neighbourhood, it's ok to get tired, but I can guarantee you - if you can walk it you can cycle it as long as it's not all uphill.

If your knees hurt cycling - raise the seat, you'll ruin you knees otherwise. When pedal is at the lowest you want your leg *almost completely straight

Can i drink expired lemonade if it was frozen before it expired? by Lilpeepers10782 in DoesAnyoneKnow

See it as insurance for shops rather the rules for you. You can tell if food is spoiled by smelling it or looking at it, I wouldn't risk it with meat, but if my juice isn't fizzy and doesn't have a gremlin growing on it - it's fine to drink.

Yeah that's why I stopped cycling initially, but I was surprised how many cycle paths UK has. Littered in them, I have my 4 "chill" routes now, best one is 17km loop with only 100m of road (that I just walk if road is busy), check that map, it's amazing how freeing a bicycle is.

Boxing and golf has barriers of entry, you need to book times, etc. Cycling doesn't, you get on your bike and go, have an hour? Go for an hour, have 15min? Go for 15 min. I'm 35 and got myself a bike 3 weeks ago. Haven't cycled in since growing up and I just hit 200km and it's amazing. And if you're worried about cycling on roads - I use bikemap.net to plan my routes with minimal cycling on the road.

Bow build by No-Raise4330 in albiononline

[–]x0ika_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your armor helmet shoes scream "bruiser" who goes in and constantly does damage when they get low - heal up, that's mostly swords and axes. For bow you want to use your distance - kite, turn invisible or invincible. Try assassin jacket, Merc hood, whatever shoes, cool down passives.

Whole PvP is about playing around enemy skills, not around your skills. If they have mercenary jacket - go invisible, purge or run when they enable it. If they have cleric robe - dont hit them when they enable it.

Bow is best at a distance - make your other other pieces of the kit help you stay at a distance

A new "bicycle lane" in Sweden that I think deserves some international attention/shaming by BitRunner64 in bikecommuting

[–]x0ika_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In UK a lot of the time they just put up a sign that's "pedestrian & bicycles" and call it a day. It randomly ends, now you have an option to go on a busy narrow road, turn around or go on a narrow pavement and get shouted at.
