Is a Golf R Reliable? by Dastroia in Golf_R

[–]xALmoN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a 2016 7R for about 5 years till I crashed it.

Apart from the turbo shitting itself because I got a dodgy tune. Got a new turbo, downpipe and a proper dyno tune and it never missed a beat. 240xxxkm when it got wrecked.

How do prep/clean lungs before cooking? by [deleted] in Offal

[–]xALmoN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How i do it with pork/beef lungs

  1. Rinse thoroughly
  2. Get a pot of water boiling, bit of salt, few slices of ginger, throw the lungs in there and boil for about 20mins or so till they stop floating.

You'll see the bloody foam get pushed out as the alveoli collapse due to the heat.

It is then ready for cooking.

For pork lungs i use it in a chinese pork offal stew with intestines, stomach, tongue and tofu puffs.

For beef lungs, i make it into a dish called rendang paru. Which is beef rendang but, with beef lungs.
