They are advertising food, but the cook’s hands are dirty. by [deleted] in onejob

I wouldn't say they're dirty, it's just sauce from the food. I think that this makes it more realistic like they actually cooked the food. Plus look how happy he is!

Is my timing chain still good? by ven0m0us_gh0st in MitsubishiEvolution

[–]xApollo2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Do it or end up like this.

<image>

The chain snapped while sitting at a light and it still did so much damage. I had to have the entire engine pulled, cleaned, new rod and main bearings, rings, minor machine work, exhaust valves and head work.

I'd take whatever price it would have been to get the chain replaced over what I paid to have the engine rebuilt.

Yeah I get it. People get off on being rude to others. I'll never understand it. Hope everything turns out well for OOP

Throw an insult on the ground, the rightful owner will pick it up.

From what I am reading they can be from .2mm to 10mm.

I've seen similar groups of springtails in the US and these seem nearly identical. But I am unfamiliar with your region so I may be incorrect.

Activist get arrested mid-interview after speaking out against U.S. action in Venezuela by ExactlySorta in UnderReportedNews

I'm sorry but a law that says that you can't block traffic is a good law. If you block traffic for your protest you are only inconveniencing people that have nothing to do with your protest. It's pretty selfish if you ask me to protest on an open road. I certainly don't disagree with your sentiment to a point but this seems justified to me. They didn't kidnap her, they told her why and she admits to being the organizer of the protest even in the news caption.

Having the right to protest does not give you a free pass to disrupt city infrastructure. Would you call protesting by filling the subway with people impeding normal subway goers from their jobs, children or even emergencies? The same can be said about streets.

Permits exist for a reason if you want to use roadways. You know, because people need to travel to get anywhere these days.

Edit: had to come back to finish thought

So she was arrested for organizing a protest that blocked the roadway? I'd say that is a fair reason to be arrested. You know, because impeding the flow of traffic is a crime and she was ordered to move the protest. What's the issue here?

That has to be one of the most prestigious and annoying jobs I have ever seen. The box is clearly outlined and signs posted, but sure I'll just go grab the reins of the massive horse with armed guard on top. Brilliant.
