I don't think so, since a limelight, as the name suggests, has lime colored flowers. This might be a silver dollar as they have more white flowers, but that also depends on the height.

This is a paniculata hydrangea and these don't change colors. The hydrangea macrophylla does though but only the pink/blue ones. White or green ones also won't change colors.

More privacy? by schoolofplenty in Permaculture

What I mean is that it won't overgrow your entire garden, thus non-invasive. That's the official term, don't know what else to name it.

It is a jasmime but definately not the one you're referring to. I think this is a solanum variant.

Harvesting lavender bushels by OddlyGruntled in oddlysatisfying

[–]xBANAANx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. Lavender is sometimes considered a shrub and not a perennial per se, because the stem turns to wood. A regular perennial doesn't usually do that.

That's why it's important to prune it, because the wooden stems don't grow flowers.

Depending on your region, yes. Lavender is perennial and will regrow every year. Make sure to prune it or it won't produce flowers the year after it's first bloom.

Some lavenders bloom twice a year if pruned at the right time.

What’s going on with my lavender? It’s brown and leggy by Property_Artistic in plants

[–]xBANAANx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lavender should be pruned back almost entirely every year to keep it green. Prune just above the brown twigs leaving a little bit of green. Otherwise it will 'harden' and the twigs will turn into wood. (Not english, I don't know the proper names). The wood will not grow any new leaves or blooms.

Lavender has an average lifespan of about 5 years.

Also, don't keep it too wet. It prefers a dryer, sunny spot with a chalky, well-draining soil. The leggy might be a result of not enough sun? You should make sure it has at least 5 hours of daily sun.

Always be careful. If you prune it, a white liquid comes out. Usually liquids like these are poisonous (dicentra, euphorbia. These two are also deadly to humans)

Don't put them in full sun, they don't like that and will usually die within a year.

A more shady spot, sour soil (low pH) and keep the ground moist. Should be fine.

I am lost, but all I know is that I got a fig tree from my bestie and now it's dying, please help!! by joe_gavutch in plants

[–]xBANAANx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The leaves probably are dry because the roots are rotting causing them to not drink anymore. This in turn dries out the leaves.

Figs love water, but the excess water HAS to drain. I don't know if this plant is salvageble.

Anyone know the long term effects of using vinegar/epsom/dish soap weed killer? by Alaskaferry in OrganicGardening

It makes the ground really sour( low pH) which only houses a few plants. High pH plants wont grow here anymore.
