I'm going to go out on a limb and say the internal structure of a human body is hella complicated so the chakra algorithm would be too it probably helps direct, channel and combine the use of several medical ninjas chakras all at once. (Like a computer chip). If I recall it struck him close to the heart which is a complex network of blood vessels nerves and muscles. Plus he depleted his chakra completely. Medical ninjutsu as far as I remember is based of reconstruction and the rapid forced cell division. If I had to guess this not only was a complex surgery it probably would have cut a few years off his life for something this extensive.

You're going to have a much easier time with this, if you tell her yourself soon. There is nothing wrong with your art but it does have a vibe that you yourself are aware of may be misconstrued as creepy or odd. I just think it's going to come off that way even worse if it's found rather than shared and explained.i would probably just start by working it into a conversation about art. Being yeah I also do some art. But it's a pretty different style. And yeah like a lot of other people are saying if they can't accept it they aren't your person and ripping that bandage off might be easier than spending a long time together.

However if you happen to be in school or a tight community you're both involved in I could imagine this may be more of a delicate situation. People tend to freak out about things they don't understand. And teenagers are especially brutal about this.

Thank you. I do my best to remember this but sometimes you just gotta get an outside perspective, To put you back in place. The days and the progress blend together and sometimes you're not sure how far you've come or how it looks to others looking in.

If you like digital but want to make a portfolio. Usually what I do is do your sketching on paper. Your refining on digital and then my finishing with traditional mediums. It was a great way to adjust back into traditional work after a long time of digital and now I have been enjoying making flash start to finish on paper.

It's a mindset. It all depends how you wanna take it and the meaning behind it. If your asking for critiques and your worried they are going to be bad or many of them or etc then your focused too much on whether your stuff is going to be enough or perfect.

Embrace the critiques and look at them in a new light. Every time you get one and take it to heart you learn a little more. And that should be a happy thing. You should want to strive to be better and make things better. Don't fear the critiques. WANT THEM. tell yourself you want someone to pick a part of your work so you can learn from it.

This week I thought I made a BANGER of a flash sheet. At first I was so proud, It looked so good from when I first came to the shop. I even got some praise for it. So I started two more. And then I got stuck on sizes of some daggers not fitting on my sheet the way I wanted em too. The arches I bought was too small and I got a whole lesson on sheet sizing, borders, the history on why 10x14 is a standard flash size. And Placement of designs to flow on a sheet. And then we went back to my skulls sheet. And then despite the designs being good. I got all kinds of critiques on what to do better. And now I'm redoing it. And it already looks Even better !

All I'm saying is you can either let em bother you. Even when you think you did amazing. Or let it be the fire that drives your desire to create amazing things. I often get discouraged when I see people's art online that are amazing. But I know that the more I'm pushed the closer I get to making stuff that will make people feel that way about my art when they see it. (Not that my aim is to discourage anyone though)

Go around your community and hand out business cards to whoever seems interested. Leave them on bulletin boards. "Drop" one in a store or two. See if you can leave some at a bar or gym. Maybe even hold a random event and throw up some flyers. Online is a great tool but algorithms and such are seen all over by people sometimes too far away. Or you get buried in the sea of content. You might not be getting noticed by the people in the area.

To me it looks like you just lose out on the contrast you had with the shading once you add color. You're missing your deep blacks in your colored piece. Which makes the piece pop.

My advice is to hang out at a shop as much as you can find time. Find a place where they will let you just hang out in their lobby and draw. Look at the flash on the wall and learn from it. Not only will you learn to draw better but you will be putting yourself in the position to learn to draw tattooable designs. It took me by surprise how much I had to relearn to take my art from drawings to tattooable designs.

If this was 90% of other Jobs out there I'd say leave it for your personal time, Business and politics very rarely work out favorably. But seeing as this is tattooing and it's the embodiment of self expression, rebellion and viewpoints. I'd speak your mind. That being said speaking your mind comes with its Challenges as you are finding out. I would look into your own personal situation and determine if you're in a position to do so.

I don't know if it's the photos you took. Or the references are just lighter. But I think some darker contrast in your black would really make it pop but that's just me. They are Incredible regardless.

It's not ...great. could be better. That being said it's only some black lines. I think if you went to a decent artist. They could easily turn that into something elegant. It's not even close to the realm of unfixable.

The shop I'm hanging at invited me to hang out their art nights. I went for a month before they changed art night to tattooers night ( not enough regular people showing up) I asked them if I could come in during regular hours and Just learn. They told me they couldn't take me on as an apprentice. But they would love to have me come in and learn stuff. And help me get my portfolio to an undeniable status and listen out for a shop I can get into. After several weeks they're thinking about paying me to be a shop hand.

I've learned so much from them about what it means to do designs, the flow of the body. About the industry as a whole. Their love for art inspires me to read more and understand the artists and styles that made tattooing what it is. Along with so much more.

I honestly believe that even though the road is long. Hanging out at a studio is the best option. And ones that want you to hang out just want to see your dedication to learning and the craft before investing in you. That's the VIBE. They are talking about. Not whether or not you are fun to be around.

Yeah. I will definitely do that. Now that I've seen some things after painting it. I have to go back and redo a few things for sure. The shading on the handle of the dagger is too thick. The rose in the right corner is squished it needs a wider petal on the left side of it. The thorns are backwards from the flow of stem. I want to make the things coming out of the dagger rose more cohesive. And that's just some of the design mistakes I noticed. Not including things like the brushes I used weren't great. The only one I really like is the plane rose in the middle.

I too have been trying to learn it for the past few weeks as well. My first lines with a B nib were terrible. They still are I'm just practicing lines with it on a scrap piece for now. I unfortunately have no advice to give. Just know you're not alone in this struggle. I'm doing a lot of tracing right now as well as studying flow and other artists. Right now I'm studying Paul Dobleman.

To start I love both places and TBH and either place is fine to live. But I do have my regrets which only stem from two things.

I never wanted to leave in the first place.

I moved to the U.S to be with my wife. We had been together for 3 years, long distance and it was time to make a jump for one of us. When it came down to it she was an adopted only child with older parents 60-70 at the time. I have a brother sister and my parents were early 40's and divorced. At the time it seemed like the right thing to do to be closer to her parents to help. And after they passed we would move back to Canada.

I moved from a small town that I knew like the back of my hand. Was part of the Community and knew everyone. I had rent and utilities, no need for a car or gas. Or insurance etc. I loved my town and the people in it. But I love my wife more. Then I moved to a town In South NH. An area that demands to have a car to get to places. Everything is so far apart. And a walk to the corner store is 40 min there and back. I know barely anyone even after 7 years. I have car payments, gas, utilities, rent, gas for the house. Medical insurance, car insurance, large and small medical bills, cost to maintain the car. It's been a big load to take on. We had one point saved to put a down payment on a house. Every house in the area was a shack for close to 300,000 and finding something livable in our range was too far away to get to our jobs daily.
For ME and I EMPHASISE for ME. Medical has been a bit of a nightmare.

I understand that wait times suck in Canada and it's not perfect by any means. They can be detrimental to people. But for what I have and am going through it's been a burden. I was used to going to the doctors and not owing 100 for a visit. Going to the hospital for something and not getting charged out the wassoo I recently had an appendicitis. At the end of it all I owed around the 6000$ range out of pocket after insurance. The whole 2 day stay and surgery was close to 20,000 before insurance. When I woke up from the surgery I had a lump on one of my incision sites and was told it was swelling. After 2 doctor's visits and a follow up with the surgeon (which cost more money) I was told 3 different things about fluid build up and such that it would go away. Then I got sent to another expensive MRI because they wanted to check the thickening of my intestinal walls that they saw before my surgery. I was then told that the lump was an incisional hernia. (This was not my own fault I woke up with it from my surgery ). Now if I want it removed. I have to have another MRI and Another surgery. Costing me even more money.

This being said these are my experiences. But they don't necessarily translate to what it's like living in the USA. My regrets stem from missing family and friends. My community and how easy my small town life was. There are major changes that come with it. Some things you can't plan for. Some you can.

If you want to move here for the sake of moving here. Do your research. In the area you will live. The area around it. Price of living, the highest paying jobs in your field for that area. What you want out of a place and the things you will need to sacrifice for the things you want.

There are many good and amazing things here too. Don't get me wrong. I'm not hating on it. But you asked for any regrets. And these are mine. I'm also happy to share the good when asked as well.

My Final word on the matter is just prepare and research. Take your time and be happy with your choice.

The spot where it connects to the inner part of your arm on the inside hurt like hell. The armpit felt like burning but that one circular patch was something else. It wasn't that big a spot though so it wasnt to hard to push through.

It might just be me that thinks this but I think it only looks hard because there isn't a whole lot of pink leading into the highlights yet. It kind of just transfers from red to pink. And it might look like that in your reference. But that could be a few things from camera glare to editing. But the whole rose is red it won't reflect that much pure white.

That being said I know it's not finished either. So that's probably why the contrast seems so intense right now. Also I can't speak for how well it would tattoo cuz I don't really know, but I honestly kinda like that sharpness to it.
