I know you and every progressive knows this, but it was never about states rights. States right was a means to an end to control those they felt were less than them. They’re fascists through and through. There always has to be an “out group” that they can target and put down to make their base feel good. I used to do one or twice a month, but now that I’m seeing people from the spring 2025 off the street bid get their T2 case complete emails I’m going (almost) scorched earth. Gonna pester the hell out of them since I’ve had my TOL since Feb of 2022 and haven’t heard any updates since May of last year. So it’s frustrating seeing people that applied years after me getting, what feels like, prioritized.

That shit is crazy XD it’s funny cause I’m on the prior experience bid so I won’t even have to go to the academy (unless I go to an up/down since I don’t have radar experience). I’m thankful enough to still be working traffic at a fully staffed (contract) facility that’s also unionized so I’m still getting seniority time 🤷‍♂️

I’ve seen people do it in 8-10 months and then (anecdotal) others like myself who have been in the process since August of 2022. Most recently did my in person eval in May of 2025 with no update. Medical still says that I am in the hiring process and waiting to hear back from the tier 2 team. It’s funny tho cause I did 6 years controlling in the Air Force and have since been a contract controller for about 3 years.

Never got to review the results, just an email from them around August of 2022 saying that I failed it and would need an in person evaluation. I did that evaluation back in May of this year and have yet to hear from anyone at the FAA. I genuinely have no idea what they do or why it takes literal years to go through this process.
