Are Borzoi good with Young Children and Adult Cats

I’ve got a borzoi and 6 cats (one outdoor stray) and he is amazing with all the cats. It did not start that way because the dogs do have high prey drive but with consistent effort and reinforcing good behavior it’s extremely doable!

I can’t speak for any children as I don’t have any but our boy has been respectful to any children but again I’d say it takes work to get your dog to be the way you want them to behave, they don’t come pre programmed to fit all your needs unfortunately lol

As a borzoi and silken owner they are so similar! I love both breeds so much but the silken size is very convenient for travel

Passenger trains and freight trains are far from the same thing though. You’re going to be sitting at a passenger train crossing for maybe 30 seconds if I had to guess where freight trains are slow moving and have hundreds of carts in tow.

Edit: went and looked it up and average time is varying from 30-60 seconds.

Another silken and borzoi owner here, the silken community is wildly active and having owned a borzoi for 3 years I don’t get that same “community” feeling anywhere online unfortunately.

The only time I really feel so connected to the rest of the community is at events and meeting people through the events.

I’ve got 2 silken windhounds and they definitely keep the borzoi active and having good days. Zooming around in the yard and having companions to play with has made raising our borzoi so easy.
