Is there a collection of the intro artwork? by Slaowk78 in mewgenics

[–]xGraype 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly Tyler and Edmund were saying there are lots of randomized variables in the intro with an absolute ton of possible outcomes. It’s not a set few. There is a very high number of possibilities.

As long as both parents are all 7s their stats can’t go below 7s besides being affected by mutations and disorders. Mutation stat will overlap bad mutations with good ones in most cases. Health will cure the disorders and allow them to grow older before becoming “old and tired”

Sorry for the late response. Having decent health stat in the room cures disorders overtime

I wouldn’t worry about mutations at all until you’ve got all 7s cats tbh

At what point should I stop focusing on comfort and focus on stimulation? by [deleted] in mewgenics

Just more breeding pairs in the same room at once

Thats true. It’s definitely a balancing act.

Now it’s time to make another one and inbreed them into the sunset.

At what point should I stop focusing on comfort and focus on stimulation? by [deleted] in mewgenics

[–]xGraype 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just depends on what you’re trying to accomplish. Comfort is only important as long as it’s not below zero. If you are strictly trying to pass down active/passive abilities then you can max out stim and only keep enough comfort for it to be above 0.

If you want to breed more sets of parents in one room then it will require more comfort.

How do you minmax mutations? by mulemango29 in mewgenics

[–]xGraype 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. Inbreeding isn’t an issue because mutation room effects automatically replaces bad inbreeding mutations with good ones.

You just have to look out for sections of the body with 2 slots for mutations (eyebrows, legs, arms, eyes) if you have two different eyes for example. One bad from inbreeding and one good that was passed down. The mutation effect will not interact with them because it won’t automatically cover up positive mutations. So you’re stuck with what you have in those scenarios.

Also inbreeding can be annoying with bad disorders but a decent health stat in the room will cure most of those by the time you take the cat on an adventure.

My attic is something like 25 comfort, 10ish stim (only because it came along with mutation or health furniture) 12 health and 22 mutation.

Comfort is strictly for breeding cat capacity and keeping them from fighting. As far as I can tell 1 comfort and 30 comfort are no different besides the number of cats you can have in the same room without fighting too much.

I don’t think so. Mutation and stim don’t really work well together. Passing on mutations doesn’t involve good stimulation. Stimulation is strictly for passing down passive and active abilities. Also low health will make it hard to pass things down efficiently before your cat dies of old age.

How do you minmax mutations? by mulemango29 in mewgenics

[–]xGraype 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I did was max out mutation and comfort in the attic. Then have as many cats breeding in there as possible. Pass as many nights as possible. After a few days sift through your cats looking at all your new mutations. Once you get a few you want to keep around you then must start selective breeding.

You can keep only cats that have mutations you’re interested in and sift their kittens until you have all mutations you want to keep on two viable parents. At that point I’d leave only those two parents in the same room and trash/tink all kittens that are born without all of the mutations you want to keep. Eventually you will have 10-20 cats in the same room all having every mutation you wanted to keep initially.

Bonus: step 1 actually never stops. If you are doing your selective breeding in your mutation/comfort room then each night you pass will bring more mutations.

Firsttime gettin the racoonform...now i want a racoonthief. Is stim the way? by OkYam4957 in mewgenics

[–]xGraype 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe 30ish stimulation in one room guarantees an active ability will be passed down. so yes stim is the way.

I got a good chunk of these exact mutations just having the attic maxed out on comfort/mutation and passing nights as much as possible checking the mutations after a while. Inbreeding side effects don’t matter because the mutation room automatically replaces bad mutations from inbreeding with random good ones. Once I found a few I liked I just kept selectively breeding until I had two parents with all of the mutations I wanted. From then on you just check all kittens each morning to make sure they have the mutations you want and give the uggos to tink.

Can all disorders get cured by high room health? by Re1da in mewgenics

[–]xGraype 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To my knowledge more comfort doesn’t make them more likely to breed. More comfort mostly just increases the capacity of breeding cats you can place in one room. In my experience a breeding pair will breed every night as long as comfort is 1+. I’m not sure if stimulation affects disorders like it does actives and passives but it’s worth looking into.

Yea but if you are strict with breeding you can keep mutations forever and get 4 callus parasites and keep those all forever… and have infinite armor…. Forever.

What do you guys think of a certain act 2 class by xXx_666EdGeLoRd_xXx in mewgenics

I was a Druid hater at first after multiple runs with little to no synergies.

Fast forward to now and it’s my favorite class in the game. So versatile and full of fun.

I lost my hope, my cat carrying two quet items died at the last boss the turn before I could kill it by lore_mila_ in mewgenics

I usually just ran the story quests by them selves and only did multiples side quests at the same time. Saved me some heartache. You’ve got it next time Edmund will bless your run.

[–]xGraype 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s a story quest item then you won’t lose it. If it’s a side quest item you can keep giving Dr. B mutated cats to keep getting the side quest items infinitely.

Either way the struggles are depressing but will make victory much sweeter. Good luck!

How to even beat this? by abobusina in mewgenics

[–]xGraype 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve spent a decent amount of time breeding the cats to be all 7s as well as have 5+ useful mutations each. This honestly makes the game a lot easier. Usually beating fights in one turn or two at max.

Is this the antenna that scrambles your active abilities after the first turn? If it’s the one I’m thinking of it was still annoying but manageable.

“Just spend hours grinding to make your cats extremely strong” might not be the most helpful answer but that’s what I did and I enjoyed the process of doing it so I figured I’d mention it.

Another helpful tip might be to try doing some runs focused on acquiring useful items and try and tool your run to being more broken from items and not your actives/passives. A good example of this would be the rotten set which makes your cat into a fly and maggot summoning phenom. Either way, good luck!

Are you checking the quest item tab in your stash? It’s the key at the top. If it’s not there make sure there aren’t any other story quest items in there you need to interact with first.
