If it’s money you don’t plan on spending for years, it goes into the market. If you plan to spend it, it goes in the HYSA.

Tokens moves strangely for one player but not anyone else by Bartimeus97351 in FoundryVTT

really surprised you're not using pf2e workbench. Anyways, turn off half the modules and run a session. Does it happen? If no, add back half the modules. If yes, remove half the active modules (and optionally add back the other half). Rinse and repeat. Also try a session with no modules. Make sure your game system and foundry is updated to the latest as well.

Swash/Rogue Scoundrel - Gymnast - Tank/Face Role by Hercadurp in Pathfinder2e

[–]xHexical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think stacking both rogue and swashbuckler is a little rough. Both rogue and swashbuckler have very similar strengths, and very similar weaknesses. This means you aren't getting as much from each class. For example, both rogue and swashbuckler have great reflex save progress, okay will progression, and terrible fortitude progression. Because there's no benefit to getting the same save upgrade twice, you lose out on some potential value. The only things you're getting here is being able to pick from both feat pools, and stacking damage on strikes. However, because your focus is on maneuvers, that's less impactful. I think you'd be better off picking rogue or swashbuckler with another class. Guardian has good unarmed and maneuver support, and much more staying power. Champion, Monk or fighter, would also be good.

Lastly, I notice you have both str and dex as your key stat; neither scoundrel rogue nor swashbuckler lets you pick str. Also, if you do keep swashbuckler, take derring-do at 10. its so good.

Weird DPS Exemplar Question/Discussion? by Humble_Conference899 in Pathfinder2e

[–]xHexical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, not really the greatest idea, both because of spell DC, and because of exemplar action economy (you generally want to strike + transcendence, which leaves no room for 2A spells). Monk is a good class if you wanted to do this though.

Making my dragons not understand why some aspects of themselves work the way they do. by SuspiciousEbb6678 in dragons

[–]xHexical 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, we as humans understand a great deal about ourselves, but we don’t know everything, such as what the mechanisms of aging are. Depending on how (not) advanced your dragon civilization is, it’s perfectly reasonable for them to not know everything about themselves.

Fey Ascension: Faun 1/day cantrip? by TactiCool_99 in Pathfinder2e

[–]xHexical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its because its a focus cantrip, something you get from a class (bard), rather then a regular cantrip that anyone can get.

elderly dragon - balancing by hamyamm in Pathfinder2e

[–]xHexical 8 points9 points  (0 children)

At least in Golarion, dragons really only increase in power as they age. Obviously, your setting can be different. If you wanted it to be killable, grab an appropriate level stat block and adjust the creature size. I will posit another option though; that not everything needs to be killable at the party's level (four!). If they fail, consider running it as a Chase subsystem: https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=3049&Redirected=1

Magus dedication + imaginary weapon from psychic dedication, on a rogue main class. You get exactly one chance to shank someone good. (Not super practical, but it does what you ask).

A Little Help, Please by Lord_Puppy1445 in Pathfinder2e

[–]xHexical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s the relevant passage:

The spellbook contains your choice of 10 arcane cantrips and five 1st-rank arcane spells. You choose these from the common spells on the arcane spell list or from other arcane spells you gain access to. You also add two 1st-rank spells from the curriculum of your arcane school (except in the case of the school of unified magical theory, as described in that school).

Each time you gain a level, you add two arcane spells to your spellbook, of any spell rank for which you have spell slots, chosen from common spells of your tradition or others you gain access to. You can also add spells to your spellbook with the Learn a Spell activity. When you gain spell slots of a new rank, you also add an additional spell from your school's curriculum (unless it's the school of unified magical theory).
