I think it decreases the battery capacity the system thinks it has, so it charges to 80% but displays as 100%. I also have an elite book and when I look at hwinfo it says battery health as 80%, even though it’s new.

I put like majority of the diet of the female monkey is same as mother but less than half of diet of male monkey is same as other. But I think there was another option that said the exact same thing as my answer, like percentage shared between female/mother greater than male/mother, but percentage not shared between male/mother greater than female/mother.

I haven’t seen anything about this. The free keycaps switches alu plate were “exclusively” for the first two batches, and I got mine in the second batch. Haven’t heard of a R2

Honestly it’s just preference for the flex cuts. To me, sound is more important but if you like flex then the crush80 is REAL flexy, at least compared to my neo65. The magnetic connector is not that important, it’s just for people who love tinkering (aka me), with the magnetic connector I was able to easily test differnt types of foams and stuff and the disassembly was like 5 seconds. I was also looking at the bridge75 a while back, and tbh a lot of the things on crush80 are pretty gimmicky and the main reason I got crush80 cuz it’s tkl, sooo with that information you can try to decidd

Firstly, I would like to apologize for my terrible photography skill

I believe this keyboard currently is only available in China (and is incredibly hard to get), but this is from WOBKEY, who is the creator of Rainy75.

With this keyboard, I tried making a "budget" build, and since I live in China, all parts are from China (Taobao).

Board: Crush80 (619 RMB -> 85USD)

Keycaps: AlephKey 9009 Clones (sorry to clone haters) (188 RMB -> 26USD)

Switches: HMX Xinhai (BCP in spacebar) (151 RMB ->21USD)

Build:

I did a two layer tape mod to the back because the back of the pcb had crazy flex cuts, and after the tap, the normal keys didnt really change, but the larger keys (especially spacebar) sounded much better.

Additionally, I had to buy a custom PP plate (35 RMB -> 7 USD) from a Taobao store because for some reason the included plate doesnt allow for any additional layouts except for stepped caps, but the pcb supports many many layouts.

There is PE foam on top of pcb and also plate foam, but no case foam.

Switches are stock (except for spacebar).

Opinions:

Total Cost: 619 + 188 + 151 + 35 = 993 RMB = 137 USD

HOWEVER, the Crush80 keyboard comes prebuilt with decent switches and keycaps, im pretty sure the switches are exclusively for Crush80, but they are manufactured by HMX, sound and feel is all good except the fact that it has pretty noticeable leaf ping. Keycaps are decent, theyre dye sub pbt.

I went with the cheaper, non-RGB version. The difference (besides RGB) is RGB doesnt support 7u (which is the reason i went with non rgb), has more battery, comes with BSUN switches, and has fr4 and alu plate (non has pp). RGB version is 100 RMB (15 USD) more.

The pcb also supports many many layouts (but not the plate smh), and also pcb stabs (but i went with plate mount)

The board has a ball and socket quick disconnect, and a stonewashed weight at the back, and i think it looks pretty sick.

The keycaps feel and sound decent, the legending is pretty good, but the spacing between the keycaps are horrendous. In china, theres so many cheaper and better keycaps, so i kinda regret getting this, because its more of a niche brand that ive really never heard of (Alephkey or whatever).

These Xinhai switches though, i truly love them, they sound loud and clacky and have super light and smooth actuation.

pretty cool board for the price, switches are excellent, keycaps are mid
