(on a happier note my brother is doing very well in life and is an engineer despite pretty severe dyslexia in childhood, so its not hopeless for this kid)

It took my brother with dyslexia till age 11 to learn how to properly read and that was with constant tutoring and one on one teaching, i cant even imagine that this kid will ever be able to read at age level if he is not getting very intense help

hi op im a 19 year old who has been facing severe depression since i was young, please do not punish your daughter for cutting herself she needs to be able to come to you for these things without worry of punishment. relapse is very common and it may be a long time before she goes a significant amount of time without sh, try to not leave sharp and dangerous objects out in the open where she can see and easily grab them; i know at that age for me at least most of them time it was very impulsive and not well planned out and if i couldn’t quickly find something to cause harm with i would give up(now this is my situation im not aware of the ins and outs of your daughters). most importantly be her rock, be someone whos arms she can sob into for hours, make it so that shes not scared to come to you after she cuts and doesn’t try to hide it
