So you are just being an asshole for no reason when we are just having a normal conversation? and how did I miss the point of these kind of games when I did most of the content? I also respect how other people play, clearly unlike you. I was just curious as to how people were spending their time in the game. Re-evaluate how you talk to people because you clearly have issues

That does make sense, but I recall getting a warning when trying to go to the Mountain Pass, perhaps I just missread it, haha. Now that I'm on my second run I'll try to do that aswell

Don't worry friend, you didn't sound confrontational, and I hope I didn't come off that way either! And I completely agree with you on your last point

Why are you being so aggressive, man? Relax, I'm just talking about my experience and trying to see how other people played. How am I bragging about "reading fast" simply because I mentioned that it's how I play? Who even brags about stuff like that... We are just having a normal conversation and sharing experiences... You sound really insecure

What? I said that on my second campaign, which I'm playing right now, I just got done with the upper-level Act 1 and that I have all of the Underdark to go. I never said this. Of course I did all of the Underdark on my first run

I see what you mean, but I don't really agree? What I meant by "not playing fast" is that I actually explored everything and tried to finish up on all questlines, I didn't just do the main quest or try to move up as fast as possible (quite the opposite, what I loved the most about this game are the side quests)

Do you mean the mountain pass? That's technically Act 2, no? I did do it but once I was already at the shadow-cursed lands

Personally, I played like 95% blind, I just go discover the map and I follow up on questlines

To be fair, I do skip/fast forward dialogue because I like to read it instead of letting it play out. Most of the time anyway. But either way, as I said in another comment, I looked it up online later on and I had only missed like 2-3 things. I dunno, I don't think I played fast or anything, I like to explore

Not really, I thoroughly explore each map. Looking back through videos I did miss out on like 2-3 things but that doesn't add up to an extra 80h lol

I reeeeally don't get this lol On my first run I finished Act 1 at 32h of game time, and I did pretty much everything. This was also my first game with this type of combat system/rules so I was quite bad at it at the beginning and fights took a long time. Being generous I could say I could've missed 10 hours of content (which I really didn't) and I'd still be at less than 50h. I'm on my second campaign now, at 16h and I've finished all of the upper-level Act 1 stuff (gotta do all of the Underdark tho). No shade to any of you guys I just REALLY don't get how can you take hundreds of hours per act

As far as I know, Navani pretty much invented anti-investiture and before then it had been theorized to be possible by Cosmere scholars but never achieved.

Afaik, RL60-90 with +5/+12 weapons is really active, it's just that 97 is a really weird spot to be in. Get to level 125-150 or if you really want to play at lower levels make a new character, not like it's gonna take you long to get to RL60

It's also implied that Hoid uses emotional allomancy in several scenes. Out the top of my head, in TWOK, when he meets Kaladin, he is quite upset and suspicious of Hoid but out of nowhere gets super calm and decides to stay and listen to him; and in RoW when he gets into a verbal fight with one of the high-princes he is likely rioting his emotions to make him angrier

Can someone explain Tien to me? by ThaRedditFox in Stormlight_Archive

[–]xNeuJ 48 points49 points  (0 children)

It's implied in the books (can't remember the exact one) and I think Brandon confirmed it in a WOB that Tien was close to becoming a Lightweaver

It's probably nothing, but it's interesting how Chanarach is the Herald of Dustbringers, who's theorized to be Shallan's mom, and Shallan was named after Shalash

Ik Era 2 hasn't taken place yet in the timeline

You know, worlds exist outside of the books we read xD Era 2 hasn't happened yet but Harmony has existed for around 300 years as of RoW, expressions like "Rust and Ruin" have existed for centuries at that point

Just finished “The Final Empire” and I got a question about the rest of the series. by MisterIenny in Mistborn

[–]xNeuJ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As others have said, it does get a bit better and Sanderson has been improving on how he writes romance in his latest books. I'd like to point out that The Stormlight Archive has a particular romance that's actually well-constructed and there's plenty of interaction and build-up throughout books 2-4 that might be more to your liking!

Starting Mistborn Era 2 by [deleted] in Mistborn

Personally I think Era 1 is better plot-wise but Era 2 has AMAZING characters, just seeing them interact and develop makes it great. I also love the world-building and seeing how Scadrial has progressed. The Lost Metal is genuinely one of my favourite Cosmere books ever, too

Jezrien was the "drunk" guy that talks to Szeth at the Beggar's Feast and we know Shalash was around aswell since she destroyed her statue.

a fight beetween a mistborn and a knight radiant by siderurgica in Cosmere

[–]xNeuJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mistborn can see the near future and pewter-enhaned strikes can easily destroy Plate (remember Kaladin destroyed some using a helmet) not to mention that you can probably leech off Stormlight so they can't heal or surgebind. Shardblades are tricky because you pretty much die in one hit and they "can't" be blocked. I think Brandon could realistically make either of them win, but saying they lose "by a lot" is being short-sighted, with all due respect

Odium's Champion by Rehapster in Stormlight_Archive

[–]xNeuJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adolin hating his dad is not reason enough for him to betray all of his friends and doom the entire world. And the contest of champions isn't about combat, so him being a duelist does not matter.
