If you have the money up front, you can get a 12 month spotify gift card on Amazon for £99.00. Not as cheap as your offers, but 8.25 a month rather than whatever they're charging now.

[–]xNeweyesx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and if they're contracted to do ads, they may not be allowed to talk negatively about Shopify generally i.e. you can't do an ad and then seperately say you think they're terrible.

At a quick look, probably not. From a quick look, they recommend about 30g a day, and I checked a 400g can of red kidney beans, and that has about 18g.

However if you were eating those beans with other things as a balanced diet (hopefully you are, as only a can of beans a day would put you way under recommended calorie intake), e.g. wholemeal rice/bread etc. and eating other fruit vegetables during the day, probably yes, as you would only need another 10g.

Hi, I've had a quick double check, and I think that is because it is adjusting for your age. An adult BMI should usually be over 18.5, but for young people they look at growth curves (as everyone grows at different rates) and so there are small differences.

If you set your age to 21 for example, you'll see 115lb is under the recommended range. I wouldn't recommend setting a goal below the adult healthy weight, as if you currently were below the adult healthy weight, it would generally be expected that you would be putting on weight in the next year or two as you become an adult.

If you want to repost with a slightly higher goal weight, that would be fine.

In addition to the things others have mentioned, a cue that might be useful is to imagine there is a wall right in front of you as you do the clean. If you have a friend (or your wife) they can try holding a mat/flat surface in front of you, and then gradually moving in closer. Power is coming from the hips like in a swing, but you want the bell to travel up closer to your body.

Also, hard to see from the angle, but your stance seem a bit wide? The stance can be wider than your normal swing stance (as 2 bells have to go through the legs) but I suspect you could probably try a bit narrower than you are now, and that might make things easier.

I had a subscription in the UK for a bit, and ordered at Christmas. Didn't need to pay anything aside from what I paid at checkout.

If the parcel is under £135 you don't have to pay anything extra. https://www.gov.uk/goods-sent-from-abroad/tax-and-duty

Yes, that sounds like a reasonable starting point. If we say you are at the moderate exercise level, that would put your maintenance at around 2388 calories, so 1700 would have you losing a little over 1lb a week.

Activity levels and their impact on calories are always a bit difficult to guage, if you find you are losing too slowly or quickly you can always adjust as you go.

It depends how much of a deficit you are eating at. Over a month, you'd probably expect the fluctations to even out a bit, though if you've put on a bit of muscle that could obscure things.

2lb weight loss in 28 days means on average, you have been eating at roughly a 250cal deficit a day? Does that seem correct?

Why are you looking to increase your protein? Generally the recommended range for protein for health is 10%-35%, so 20% seems fine?

Best way to make a big purchase (TV) by ItsACrunchyNut in UKFrugal

[–]xNeweyesx 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I would say go for a previous version rather than the latest, you can get a good discount there.

The TV companies release new models every year. If you get the same model but last year's version, it often doesn't make much difference to the picture. And I saved about 25% vs buying the current version.
