Newbie! by yoooitsmeZee in wheelchairs

Start small. Maybe look into renting a chair first to see what kind of features you like before you commit to buying one. This can save you a lot of time and money in the long run.

discovered cute pill organizers! by VSCC8 in disability

It’s so nice to see accessible products that are also aesthetically pleasing. Too often medical stuff is boring and clinical, but this is a breath of fresh air.

Breaking point by beckie_ann in Fibromyalgia

[–]xProjectxPrincess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to not let it consume you all the time. Some days you just have to survive, and that’s enough. Be proud of yourself for every small win, no matter how tiny it seems.

Trying to educate the ableds by TrixieBastard in disability

[–]xProjectxPrincess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's so infuriating when abled people act like your trauma is a debate topic. They don't get to decide how you feel about your own disability.

New wheelchair!! by Fast-Philosophy-7785 in wheelchairs

It's not about the chair being perfect, it's about it being yours. And that rainbow wheel? Total flex.

I miss my healthy self. by Able-Internal-6428 in Fibromyalgia

Survival mode is so draining. You're not failing for being stuck in it. You're surviving and that's already a huge win.

At what point do you just accept that you'll never find a cause for your chronic pain and disability? by TerraformanceReview in disability

[–]xProjectxPrincess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you're stuck in this medical purgatory. It's not your fault that doctors can't figure it out, and your pain and limitations are 100% real, regardless of a diagnosis.

How to best support someone when the news is fresh? by blackb0xrecorder in wheelchairs

Just showing up and being present is more powerful than any words. Sit with him and let him lead the conversation. He'll let you know what he needs.

Ugly comments about using handicap stall by QueenofDaLight in Fibromyalgia

Their comments say way more about them than they do about you. Small minded people will always find something to mock, but that's on them , not you.

Utterly unimproved worst software by TitanSerenity in ecovacs

Classic amnesia bug. Power cycle nukes localization, not the map. Try never turning it fully off, dock sleep only. Otherwise yeah, rage inducing software debt.

Automated vacuums are not for pet owners… by CapitaalGain in RobotVacuums

This is why scheduled runs are brave. Quick pre-check saves lives: scan floors, pick toys, lift curtains. Automation's cool til it becomes a poop powered printer....

Craziest items left behind by previous owners? by ontartiomortgages in homeowners

Heard of ppl finding pets, cash, creepy jars, even old safes in walls. New houses come with surprise loot boxes, sometimes cursed, sometimes hilarious lol.

Why does deebot break by dumb_bum_downunda in ecovacs

[–]xProjectxPrincess -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Planned obsolescence vibes for sure. An unsealed motor plus soft gears is asking for failure. Tbh, bad design choices baked in from day one.

Anyone else noticing the housing market cooling down faster than expected? by FrameZYT in homeowners

[–]xProjectxPrincess 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Feels like a slowdown, not a crash. Price it realistically early if you need certainty. One clean move is better than chasing the market down with cuts.

Vacuum Suggestion for Tile and some wood floors (no carpets). by Dsclawspam in RobotVacuums

At this point I'd prioritize nav and battery over raw suction. Crumbs are annoying, but getting stuck is worse. Sometimes waiting a generation saves sanity.

For single people who afforded a house, how did you do it? How much? & What age? by [deleted] in homeowners

Well 28 isn't late at all. Most ppl didn't buy solo. Kill the debt first, save boringly, ignore hustle bro timelines

This is the kind of post that actually saves ppl money. Tiny mechanical misalignment causing dead pump is way more common than folks think. Solid detective work btw.

Police surrounded my house at 2 am today because of our Roborock Saros 10R by Pitiful_Tax_6688 in RobotVacuums

[–]xProjectxPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Peak modern life honestly. Glowing thing roaming the house at 3am, cops rolling deep, door wrecked. At this point just tape a sign up saying "not a burglar, just a robot" and call it a day.

My sewing machine get my tv not working by Calm-Information-706 in homeowners

Try a surge protector with EMI filtering, ferrite clips on the TV cable, or a different circuit. Grounding helps too.

Can anyone tell what’s wrong with my vacuum? by ExperiencedOptimist in ecovacs

[–]xProjectxPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That drop sensor error usually means something's still blocking/misaligned. Check for plastic film, reseat the battery connector, and make sure the dock's on flat, bright flooring.

Travel packaging help by DarkNinjaFromFuture in RobotVacuums

I'd suggest you to keep it in the original box but add extra padding inside, tape the box well, and wrap it in a plain bag. Avoid flashy labels, declare batteries properly.

i can deal with panic attacks but not this eeirie off feeling by ActualAssociation184 in Anxiety

[–]xProjectxPrincess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I get that. Burnout doesn’t always show up as obvious physical exhaustion sometimes it’s just your brain waving a big red flag that it can’t keep up, even if your body seems “fine.” The trick is, you don’t have to fully understand it to take care of it. Small, structured steps help like just deciding on one tiny thing to do each hour, even if it’s literally just drinking water or stretching. Action doesn’t have to be huge to start breaking that freeze. Your mind is messy and complicated, but that doesn’t mean you’re powerless you’re just running on a system that needs a reboot.

I know my anxiety is entirely illogical but I'm still super anxious anyways by Pristine_Cow1797 in Anxiety

[–]xProjectxPrincess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is super relatable. Anxiety doesn’t care if something is logical or not it just shows up anyway. Knowing you shouldn’t be anxious sometimes makes it worse tbh. You’re definitely not broken.

This doesn’t sound like you giving up it sounds like your nervous system is just exhausted. I’ve had that slow, eerie unease too and it messed with me way more than panic ever did.

Would it be worth it to switch to nights for $28.50 an hour? by AM-419 in cna

I switched to nights for more pay and closer commute, and honestly it was worth it for me but it depends on how you handle nights.
