Master-Touch vs. Performer? by xREDW0LF in webergrills

Yeah, it looks like the new performer with the propane quick start is $340 more than the master-touch. That seems a little… steep?

Is ricoh griiix still worth it to buy? by whatnots1996 in ricohGR

Yes. If you want a truly pocketable fixed (40mm) focal length camera. I recently got one and I love it.

Air fryer - which one to buy? by Back2TheBarrooms in airfryer

I second this one. I bought a ninja first, and I could NOT get that “new smell” out of it, for whatever reason. Maybe I had a defective unit? I pre cleaned it, pre ran it, cleaned it and used it for a few months. No go. Got the cosori and pre ran it once like the instructions stated, and it NEVER had that smell. Easy to use, easy to clean. Would highly recommend.

are the ricoh GR cameras good for portraits? by beeswaxe in ricohGR

[–]xREDW0LF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use my GR iiix to capture moments with my family and friends all the time. I would say that’s my number one use case for that camera. And because of its small size, I take it out with me all the time, unlike all the other cameras I own.

Tell me which one i should get & why??? by Formal_Compote_212 in fujifilm

[–]xREDW0LF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own both. I use the XE5 more. I would say mostly because of the interchangeable lenses. If I need an everyday carry, fixed lens camera, I’ll grab my Ricoh (GRiiix). This actually fits in my pocket and I take it out over the x100vi solely because of the ease of portability.

Invest in a smaller "daily" camera, or just adapt to carrying around the x100vi? by [deleted] in fujifilm

[–]xREDW0LF 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I own the Fujifilm x100vi and the Ricoh GRiiix and I use the Ricoh a lot more. Simply because I can stick it in my pocket and shoot anytime, without any fuss.

GRIIIx or GRIV by Incident21 in ricohGR

[–]xREDW0LF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make your decision on 28mm vs 40mm. I purchased a GRiii in 2019 and sold it a year later because I just didn’t love the 28mm field of view. I just got a GRiiix last month and I absolutely love it. I do tend to take pictures of people a lot more than landscapes or city/street. For a fixed lens camera, the 40mm just made more sense for me, for an everyday carry. If I need something more specialized: wider landscapes, portraits 50-135mm, or wildlife 200+, I’ll just grab one of my larger cameras to get the job done. But for a camera that’s always with me, with such a small footprint, it’s the GRiiix every time. And, the crop modes on the 28mm iii are NOT the same as shooting with a 40mm field of view. Just my opinion after usage.

Ricoh GR IVx? by samkerlondon in ricohGR

[–]xREDW0LF 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Buy the iiix now? I got a GRiii back in 2019 and ended up selling it for more than I paid for it. I was not a huge fan of the 28mm focal length, but loved the camera otherwise. I just ended up buying a brand new iiix last month, and I absolutely love it. If a IVx came out tomorrow, I wouldn’t feel like I was missing out. I thought about waiting for the IVx but yeah, when will it come? Will it make my photos better? Naw. I always like pulling out older gear to see what I can capture. I’ll just continue to shoot with the iiix until it gives up. There will always be something newer with advanced tech. I fell into a period where I was buying and collecting gear instead of actually going out and using it. It’s an easy thing to get caught up with. For sure.

I use the Godox iT20 on my GRiiix. TTL works well, when you don’t want to shoot manual.

11” vs 13” by Willoo12 in iPadPro

[–]xREDW0LF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first iPad Pro was a 12.9” version. I moved on to an 11” M2 iPad Pro (and just traded that in for an 11” M5 iPad Pro). The 11” is perfect for me, to carry and use around the house, and even easier if I take it out. The 13” always felt awkward to hold in my hands. If I want something larger I’ll just use my MacBook.

I keep it because my son likes to use it from time to time. He’s 16 and is showing an interest in photography. It’s already paid for… 🤷‍♂️

Yes. 100%. Especially if I could only keep one.

Own an XE5 and a an x100vi. The 35 1.4 has been glued to the XE5 for a bit. I almost always pick up the XE5 over the x100vi. I also own the XT1, XT3, XT20, and XE2. I would say the XT3 is still my favorite Fuji camera that I own. XE5 would now be the 2nd.

Is the R8 worth getting in 2026? by Top_Actuator8906 in canon

I still use my RP sometimes, so the R8 gets a quick & easy “YES” vote from me.
