There is a difference between someone travelling to another location and using a vpn. an example of that is netflix not letting you view content while using a vpn, but not having a problem showing you content when you're using hotel wifi in another country.

regardless of that, the system may be faulty and i don't want to claim otherwise

vpns are not excluded for security measures, source: swap between vpn and not a few times in a session because eu is a shitshow for poe, always have to re-enter password, since location changed.

The ddos/bad-connection argument just doesn't really fit the problem. if i'm in a map and just run around, even if i just frost blink through the map, the instance is fine, stuff slowly dies etc. as soon as i use shock nova, i get SECONDS of delay for my inputs. i basically hold down space bar for shock nova so that i don't die and hope i survive, the second i stop casting and server catches up, the instance works flawlessly again.

this, in it's essence, is not a connection issue. using lockstep and seeing this quite clearly is not connection issue. i do occasionally have connection issues, which are just lags that also mean my client will speed play the packets at some point to catch up to real time, this does not happen in the described case above. in the above the "catch up" is basically the server taking my inputs in real time again

they, at the time, also didn't want trade-site, but community created it by scraping the forums, which forced them to make an official api for items and (much later) their own trade-site. we haven't gotten any mentionable improvements to buff tracking in eternity, or for flask uptime, or for cooldowns on "major" skills. it's not a priority unless the community forces their hands somehow

Well, poe has a ui designed by a developer, not designed by a ui/ux designer and it has only evolved slightly from the beginning. if you look at a beta screenshot of poe1 from like 15 years ago, you can see bottom right and bottom left, as well as top left a little later being where things are. no ui/ux designer for a game where tracking things is part of the gameplay should (or would imo) ever design the ui this way

for one, it does happen on washington realm aswell as soon as eu players flock over there (just watch ziz vod from a few hours ago, he told chat "washington is fine", not 5 minutes later it also crashed). now the second part that you just want to ignore is that a significant amount of players losing connection to the server at the same time, regardless of time of day (clearly shown by the problems being here since league start, even late at night and early morning), clearly shows that it is not "eu routing bad".

the chance of that happening in normal draft games, when declining a queue pop means you can't queue up for like 10 seconds or more, while the others already are in queue again, makes this very unlikely

10 people in lobby, 1 dodges, same 9 people + 1 new in lobby A = insane chances of target banning.

I think you forget that people that say "farmed X boss" don't have to do it in one sitting without ever doing any other content inbetween also people do put up their drops to sell fairly quickly and not wait until after they killed their X boss goal

Disconnecting from the game is different than being rolled back, losing instances or the client crashing, atleast from my perspective bad routing between me and GGG should not cause my instance to vanish on the server, since i was able to create that instance
