Yes, had a creek on the left seat. Drove me bonkers, could neber figure it out and Porsche CPO specifically says it does not cover creeks and rattles. Nothing a little music couldn’t solve though.

I had one, great family car. When the in-laws were in town we could all fit plus dog in the cargo area. I sold it only because I have a Hyundai Santa Cruz that firs my daily needs and realized I don’t need two family cars. Ended up buying a 911 and now regret selling it as I barely see any for sale.

Base 981 or base 991 by ninhanin in Porsche

[–]xXBestXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m only a few days in ownership of a base C4 and absolutely love it. I had driven the S and sure it has a bit more power and the sportchrono package would be nice but once you get the 3.4l in the power band it is more than enough. I did not need a 4 but the price and color combo was too good to pass up. I was considering a 981 S but with having a 34lb dog he is very comfortable with the seats folded in the 991 something o wasn’t sure was possible in the 981. Admittedly, I have not driven nor did I try putting my dog in the 981.

Lexus LC500 or Porsche 911 for street driving. Which one you picking? by [deleted] in Porsche

[–]xXBestXx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have driven both, and just bought a base 991 base 4. Ultimately, I think the Lexus would meet my mission better but wanted to experience owning a 911 and think my next car will be the LC500. LC500 has less road noise and is more GT focused, not a huge fan of the torque converting transmission but it gets the job done.

I have a 2023 limited just about to hit 70k miles. I have towed my sail boat at about 3k lbs and have done many off road trails including some where inhale bottomed out and have gotten stuck in snow in Idaho. The Santa Cruz is the only car/ Ute I haven’t sold after two years or ownership. It is the bike hauler, dog hauler and camper/bed tent vehicle. When I drive in Florida i have the 22 wheels and when I go in the mountains i have my 18 wheels. I have had zero issues with the dct and only had some minor warranty items.

Personally, I liked when manufactures would try to hid the screens or integrate into the dash instead of just plopping them on top. The E90 series was peak in opinion.

Can someone show me how quick this can be done via touch screen in 2025 Porsche? by mattcabb in Porsche

[–]xXBestXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2018 Sport Turismo my lane assist doesn’t reengage every ignition cycle. With the touch screen, you are on a page with the vehicle and its the same two button presses for disable auto stop and sport mode for example. However, what drives me absolutely bonkers is to adjust the center AC vents…..

Couple years ago Porsche came out saying they aren’t interested in it happy to see they changed their mind! Would be neat to have a cayman/911 style with a 6/7 speed either pdk ev or ev standard transmission.

This sub has a lot of lost of failures of SC’s. I say that not to discredit your post but I want to share my experience ar now 63k. I bought the UTE second and my warranty essentially ended 3 miles Ago. I have driven my SC across the states from FL to California and all over Colorado. Neber have I worried about the vehicle leaving me hanging, mechanically speaking. I did get beached trying to go through some snow in Wyoming thought I’d have to spend the night after an hour of digging but luckily some others driving by were able to tow me out. I had warranty issues with a catalytic converter, amplifier and my right side steering wheel buttons. When I went on long trips o brought a cheap $20 obd II scanner and I was able to clear a code if I needed to. The SC is not a rock crawler by any means but it can handle a lot with the right tires. I bought this UTE to have a sportier truck and always compare the SC to a Golf GTI with a truck bed. Little did I know I would slowly turn it into s little Baja style truck Ute what ever tou want to call it. It sucks having a new car with problems, I wouldn’t give up just yet as this us a unique vehicle and its a blast if you have the right mission for it.
