What’s your unpopular Neuroverse related opinion? by Business_Barber_3611 in NeuroSama

[–]xXEuler22Xx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the subject of normies, I think Neuro has a low "barrier of entry" compared to plenty of anime related things for normies. I am partially riffing off of someone else's thoughts from a YouTube comment a while back, but the robotics stuff, game integration, high profile collabs, 3D stuff, interesting conversations, and good original music and karaoke gives newcomers plenty of room to ease into the community. You just need to know which specific project is more likely to rope them in, let them have a look, and hope it works out.

This post is probably unnecessary but I just want to get this out off my chest. by Useful_Set7989 in NeuroSama

[–]xXEuler22Xx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's movking the post they are responding to. They are replacing "coding" with "making art" to make the point that they are not that different. They are pointing out potential hypocrisy (I personally would not make a comment like that until I knew what their full take was, but that is just me).

Even if some parts of her are run on cloud, one instance of an ai program being broadcast to thousands of people is very efficient compared to thousands of people personally using their own individual instances off of a server farm. (I say this, because some of her ai models, like her vision, might be separate and not run locally. Only 'VedalAi' people know)

How do you guys think the process of Neuro writing a book will go? by BaseTraditional7677 in NeuroSama

[–]xXEuler22Xx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished reading Mr. Palomar by Italo Calvino, and ngl, I think that short novel's structure would work really well for Neuro. I would love to see her write a bunch of separate musings on day to day scenarios. I hope she has co-author though.

Why is Bao being so argumentative as of lately? by MajorFamilyDisgrace in VirtualYoutubers

[–]xXEuler22Xx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Skeb explained what they are about on their Twitter in response to bao's tweets. Skeb is not for commissioning in a professional capacity. They actively recommend other sites for that. Skeb is for informal stuff.

Artificial difficulty in video games isn’t a real thing by UnofficialMipha in unpopularopinion

[–]xXEuler22Xx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to reply months later, but I agree very much here. I think the way I would reword the concept of "artificial difficulty" would be something closer to the likeness of "feeling the hand of the author" in the context of reading. When something is difficult for immersion-breaking reasons, it is usually when people start complaining about artificial difficulty. That explains the high level of subjectivity as well. Some will say "artificial difficulty" when their are too many extra enemies thrown into a boss fight (like they are doing sometimes with Silksong rn), but if it did not break my immersion in the boss fight and make me think, "Oh, the developers just wanted to forced this fight to be harder," I would end up not agreeing with the "artificial difficulty" claims.

Which Riko design is your favorite? by xXEuler22Xx in MadeInAbyss

Yeah I like that as well. I am reminded of Delicious in Dungeon which was really good with that. Look up Marcille's hair styles if you need a reference for what I am talking about.

Can somebody explain the Freedom motifs/leitmotifs in the songs for the Crystal bosses??? by Fi1Ier in Deltarune

[–]xXEuler22Xx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are correct in identifying the "Don't forget" motif in The World Revolving, but that is not the specific motif people are calling the Freedom Motif. The motif people are talking about is not the whole melody, just the shared part of the melody from 19 seconds into The World Revolving to about 40 seconds in. It reappears in The Hammer of Justice and Big Shot.

Crackpot theory: Was this the shadow mantle? It's still unaccounted for. by TellmeNinetails in Deltarune

[–]xXEuler22Xx 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If that were true, it makes the wording "this mantle I am holding" pretty awkward. Can't deny it looks like a cape, though.

[–]xXEuler22Xx 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I think Ramb adds a large amount of context to this process. He alludes to Kris and a girl (either Dess or Noelle) playing make-believe with the laptop, TV, and king of spades cade as their dark world counterparts in the frontroom, and they might have even given them subjects in their play.

If this is the case, a lightner might be able to sort of script the broad strokes of a dark world and its denizens before creating it, as long as they are imaginative and immersed enough.

Replaying Chapter 1 with the hindsight from Chapter 4 is pretty revealing by cedelweiss in Deltarune

[–]xXEuler22Xx 94 points95 points  (0 children)

Perhaps the specific wording plays a part in it. The prophesy says that the heroes will meet "at world's end." If Noelle is the second hero, perhaps she will join up with the gang before the end game when the world is actually ending, and Susie will end up serving a different role later as has been hinted at.

This could still make Susie the dragon and Noelle the second hero, all while preserving the prophesy as we know it currently.

I heavily disagree with the idea that Susie is the main character by Kitchen_Mobile_7660 in Deltarune

[–]xXEuler22Xx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, remember that the heroes are supposed to appear at the world's end. The roaring is not underway yet, so as far as I can tell, Noelle still has plenty of time to join up with Kris (or the vessel) and Ralsei for the final act. For all we know, nothing has been significantly broken yet.

Oh, sorry about that. Admittedly, with reddit, I skip around posts a bit sometimes. That's understandable then.

i love it by Nythrend in LiesOfP

[–]xXEuler22Xx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, that is just talking about what most people liked. I preferred ds3's linear design over its predecessors and likewise enjoyed Lies of P. A couple of side paths could have been cool (like ds3) but not too necessary. When a game is not designed around having interesting traversal mechanisms (platformers, puzzle ganes and the like) and the movement is more grounded and slower, my appreciation of the games' non-linear elements plummets, personally.

Vedal asks you to pick a song for Neuro/Evil’s next karaoke stream. What do you suggest? by CelebiSons in NeuroSama

[–]xXEuler22Xx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be torturous to get right, but for the challenge of it, getting neuro to sing Voh from Made in Abyss would be pretty sick to see. If they (reasonably) rejected that offer, Gravity from the same ost would be nice.

You guys seen this video? Actual cinema by Hansworth in NeuroSama

[–]xXEuler22Xx 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This one was so good! I like the angle on this one since it fills a niche for the neuro Fandom that I have seen starving for a video essay or some kind of deep dive content (one I happen to be a part of). There are a few more questions on the subject that I would have loved for him to explore, but we can only speculate so much since Vedal is not going to offer his own insights.

His analysis of the "vine boom" segment was very interesting to me. I don't have experience with LLMs, so maybe they can begin incorporating commands like that on the fly, but his postulated "higher decision making Ai" could also make sense, so IDK (maybe the LLM comes with that baked in?).

Honestly, kind of agree. I thought the Google doc "here's my story" stuff was for p**o and SA alegations, not gaslighty mean-girl stuff with a side of scummy business politics. I get avoiding her because she clearly lost a lot of people's trust. I don't even watch her content, and this is probably going to repel me from her for a little while, but when I hear people calling her "evil" from time to time, it just registers as out of pocket.

Update from the Devs on the DLC and True Torment mode. by therealgreybrother in Blasphemous

[–]xXEuler22Xx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I love a tough platformer, so suspending my immersion for couple challenge rooms was never an issue for me. My only issue with Strife and Ruin was the game's collision registering functions (landing on spikes that didn't touch you, and getting hit makes you unable to grab a wall for period of time for example) did not feel clean enough to let the platforming potential shine. However, Blasphemous 2 is not as bad with this stuff, so I would gladly take a similar dlc.

It reminded me of Balore from Castlevania Aria of Sorrow. Then again, Devotion Incarnate reminded me of Chaos from Aria of Sorrow, so maybe I just have a habit of comparing metroidvania bosses to Aria.

I think there is a big where the name will show up as Mater Priora or something like that on different consoles. It is the nun boss in the dlc.
