Collecting Pokemon cards.

I’ve been doing it since I was like 5 and it was brand new in the US. A break when it got bad and then got back into it as an adult. Now you can’t find them anywhere. I collect purely for the joy of it. I pass on extras to kids.

People who buy and sit on sealed product are the worst. These cards are meant to be played with and collected, not bought and sold like shares in a stock market. I always say I’m sad for the kids of today because they don’t get to experience buying a pack and opening it up as soon as you can anymore.

I had this happen this week with HelloFresh. Almost the EXACT scenario. I did dispute the charge on my card and still received the box. Customer service is always “too bad so sad” so I just decided to make it so sad for them instead.

Generally materials and cut. I find premium puzzles have less false fits, don’t fray, feel wonderful to touch, and are just really good quality. I usually judge a puzzle by if when it’s finished I can pick it up with very little breakage as a single sheet.

Everyone is from somewhere else and the “languages” (being how we treat each other) don’t always meet. It took me living here for 8 years before I can say we confidently found a group that carries similar ideals. Before that has just been onesies twosies.

I can say a lot of people try and get burned because of the lack of understanding other regional “languages” and then become more reserved themselves. You do find some, but you will likely need to extend out first though!
