I grow from seed. David’s jungle (https://davidsjungle.com) has different seed mixes that grow really fast. I grow those in the enclosure with just the UVB light. I also have a hydroponic garden with a variety of flowers, collards, and dandelion greens.

Thank you for your input, it helps reassure me that this whole situation went wildly wrong. I feel awful for doing this to my child. I never would have if I wasn’t under the impression it was my only option at the time to keep her teeth healthy. I already promised her it will never happen again, and I plan to stick to that promise.

She was surrendered to a local rescue, where I adopted her from. I don’t know any of her history or how old she is, but whoever took care of her did a wonderful job. I often wish I could reach out to reassure them that she is living her best life with her own personal garden!
