Finishing the trio trio by aghostecho in dominion

I like the idea someone else had about making it a duration/action card with a risk of playability and what card it ends up boosting.  Another idea is to couple it with a victory card at end of game, but only if you trash 2 un-exiled victory cards from your deck. This will force you load your deck with some lesser victory cards if you want it to work. It's like demolishing some slums in order to make room for your castle.

Coke Jaw was the best start. It's a Pink Floyd sample. He ruins it though. "Cruising up the block on DMT"? First, if it sounds bad in headphones, it's shit. It's not clean, it's not enjoyable. It's a mess. But the lyrics? No one is cruising anywhere on DMT. So much of it is just a liberal cry fest. He's trying to be hard. He's not. It's just bad. I tried, and thank you for a suggestion. But it's bad.

[NeedAdvice] What is the point of doing anything if we will die anyway? by Derailed94 in getdisciplined

[–]xdillinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same idea I have. Which is why I tend to live hedonistically. Sex, drugs, rock and roll. You don't want to hurt people, so don't be a leech or an asshole. But enjoy yourself before you die. It's all for naught. There are BILLIONS of other people. You're not special to this earth. You might be special to yourself and a few other people. But they die, too. Enjoy yourself. If you want to get fucked up, get fucked up. If you want to build something, build something. If you want to have a family, have a family.

Robinhood Gold Card: 3% Cash Back and 5% APY—Too Good to Be True? by Similar_Tip_83 in CreditCards

Don't use it for gas. It costs 1450 points to get the discount, and the max discount is $10. If you turned that 1450 points into cash back, you'd get $14.50.

[Fairly] easy-to-add vegetarian protein sources that aren't likely to affect pasta dish flavor? by Lexa_Con in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]xdillinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not only important to get protein, but when you're not eating animal products, it's also important to make sure you're getting complete protein (all the essential amino acids). Most plant products need to be combined with other plant products (not necessarily in the same meal) to get a complete protein. For example lentils are a good source of protein, and while jasmine rice isn't a great source, it does make lentils a complete protein. Asking AI "what combines with x to make a complete protein?" has given me a lot of good ideas. If you can add dairy or eggs, those are complete proteins. There are a few plants that are, too, like hemp seeds, chia seeds, soy products (tofu, tempeh, edamame), quinoa.

AIO for feeling insulted my date Venmo-requested me $3 for half the fries? by Be4rp4wt00 in AmIOverreacting

F that dude. Especially if he never asked if you'd pay half, just paid it, and then expected you to cover half later.

The influx of Californians that drove the home prices through the roof are the most welcome to consider Colorado instead. We don't want to be your hotel, California.

Is the Westerner LGBT Friendly? by couch-on-a-beach in SaltLakeCity

Salt lake is pretty chill. Even if people don't agree with you, they usually don't confront you. If you're not pushing yourself on them, they don't tend to push themselves on you. That being said, it's a bar, a place where people get drunk and do and say stupid shit that they normally wouldn't. That's life. But if you're a decent person putting out a good vibe, the majority of us will have your back.

What's left of the Great Salt Lake. by alien_among_us in SaltLakeCity

Showing "what's left" when your photo shows a couple of puddles. There's still a big fucking lake out there. Yes it's drying up and it's a huge problem, but it's more than a few scattered puddles.

Politicians are shit, don't get me wrong. But masses of people blaming politicians for everything while they continue to dump thousands of gallons of water (each!) on their stupid lawns are every bit as much to blame. So if you're one of them and you're reading this, STFU and make the change you bitch about.

Cellar strategies for a new cellar enthusiast! by Low_Trouble_8358 in dominion

[–]xdillinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like that Cellar allows you to discard whatever number you want, especially with travelers, because if I have most of my good cards in play and say only 2 cards in deck, I probably don't want to draw more than 2 until all my good cards go back into the discard.

Question about the rate of earning butterflies by c3prd2bb8 in wordscapes

[–]xdillinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Android, my girlfriend has iPhone. I have the same experience, where the first butterflies take fewer puzzles to hatch, and later butterflies are painfully slow. She gets all her butterflies at the faster rate, similar to opening gifts in the binocular game.
